looking for outdoor fixed dome or PTZ camera recommendation
thewireguys replied to guest43225's topic in Security Cameras
You need a camera with progressive scan sensor. The 215 will never be able to see moving cars well. http://www.axis.com/products/video/camera/progressive_scan.htm -

What is everybody using? I have used EnGenius wireless products and they have worked well. They just came out with the EOC-2610 for around $75.00. Any thoughts? EOC-2610 is a Long Range outdoor wireless Access Point / Client Bridge that operates seamlessly in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum and provides high bandwidth up to 108Mbps with SuperG. EOC-2610 features high transmit output power and high receive sensitivity. High output power and high sensitivity can extend range and coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points and to deliver a more stable wireless connection. It also reduces deployment expenses on the equipments. EOC-2610 supports distance control by 1km to 30km and RSSI indicator, which enable the best transmit and receive signals for superior wireless performance. This outdoor device comes with a PoE injector (24V) for easy outdoor deployment. To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filtering lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. In addition, the User Isolation function can protect the private network between client users. EOC-2610 is a feature-rich and all-in-one outdoor device, it is the perfect solution for any outdoor application you may have.

Nuuo MiniNVR
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
MiniNuuo is complete unit (only IP Cams no analog input ) just install HD and u done have one coming in few weeks What do u mean by "we can use DVR cards for analog cameras or video encoders" ? So if I need to use analog cameras I will have to use a video encoder. There is no PCI slots for DVR cards. -
Do you need DVR card for IP Cameras?
thewireguys replied to destro_23's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
No you do not need a DVR card for IP cameras. If the system is working ok why do you want to switch everything to IP? -

Arecont 3130M day/night megapixel camera forsale
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in Classifieds
I am selling it so I can get a new camera to demo. I think the night time image is very good and the day time image is OK. But that can be improved with better lenses. The camera is less then a year old and has never been installed. I had it on our demo rig but my customers are requesting AXIS cameras so I want to get the Q1755 for demo. I posted images from this camera in the Megapixel Image section http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=11322
