    My 1.1 Million Dollar Ride

When I was growing up I spent a lot of time a the local fire department with my dad. I always enjoyed all of the tools and trucks and I got to ride along to a lot of calls because my dad was the asst chief. He passed away a couple of months but one of that last things he did when he was in involved in the fire department was help them secure the funding to purchase this tower. video analytics software

You need to be very careful about manufactures over stating their capabilities. For example I find it very hard to believe that "object left behind" analytics would work reliably in a crowded airport or facial recognition in anything other then perfect conditions.

    Is There Such a Thing...

Check with the place you order cable.... They will have the correct connectors for the cable that you are using.
  9. Scott email me if you have questions I have lots of pics.

I use a lot of outdoor rated and shielded cable with RJ-45 ends termed on them. You have to get the correct connectors for the cable you plan to use but it does work. I know some people think this is not correct and you should always use a jack. My school of thought is the less connections the better and you can always make the wire shorter if you need to down the road. Plus I find it much easier on a ladder to term a RJ-45 then punch down a keystone type jack.

Put the keystone in the gang box or just run the cable directly into the camera.

    Milestone X-Protect Go

Both!! Also from what I was told you need to setup a VPN to access the system remotely.... Though I do not know this for sure.

    Milestone X-Protect Go

Wow finally got Axxon up and running but still not recording yet. I must say this is not very easy to setup. I guess it is time to pull out the manual.
  17. Don't forget that's not a requirement. I have three cams using my Synology as a NAS. I haven't even used the first license. So your not using the VMS built in the unit your just using it as a NAS correct?

    Milestone X-Protect Go

The client will not run on my VM. Going to try and install the client on my machine and see if it will connect to the server running the VM.

    Avigilon VMS ACC 5

Yes or wait till fall. It is not a update think of it as new software for new customers.
  22. When you guys say they are slow are you referring to Read/Writes? NAS or iSCSI? I have had zero issues with my ds1812+ and multiple iSCSI targets setup different VMS platforms I have been testing.
  23. thewireguys

    Milestone X-Protect Go

Yea that is a good point it does keep bugging me to register the software and it does say something about being free for one year. Downloading Axxon now and spinning up another VM
