I haven't had any issues with ACTi or Axis with Exacq besides the fact it takes forever to review recorded video but that happens with any MP camera on Exacq. Or when a camera disconnects it takes a long time for cameras to connect even when you adjust the reconnection time.

There are lots of options for turning on and off devices in remote buildings.

Core edition does not support audio. Standard and Enterprise do but you will be a license for the audio to work. This includes live and recording so if you want any form of audio you need a license

I would recommend Avigilon andI am willing to bet it will fix your connection issues. At-least it fixed all of my customers connection issues when we switched them to Avigilon.

You have to be a Avigilon dealer to have access to the price list and there PTZ cameras are over $1500. What VMS are you using at this site that will determine which PTZ you can use.

What is the manufacture of the camera? Most have a utility software that is designed to auto discover the cameras on your network so you can address them. Some will even discover cameras on different subnets. -
