Dahua Megapixel Camera- which VMS software FULLY support it?
thewireguys replied to liukuohao's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I would have loved to bid on this project. From all my experence with Exacq and Avigilon I know I could beat Exacqs cost with Avigilon. -
Dahua Megapixel Camera- which VMS software FULLY support it?
thewireguys replied to liukuohao's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It doesn't need to be months of video. Say you have an event happen and you need to follow a person across many other cameras to find out where they came from. For a small 4 channel home system this isn't that big of a deal but it is still time consuming. For our customers that use there CCTV systems every day searching video for events there is a hugh ROI for the ability to search video as fast as they can. One of our customers has 16.5 years worth of video on there NVRs so searching video is extremely important to them. Here is another example. Say you have a ticket window where you have hundreds of people come up and all you know is you need to find the guy in a green shirt with glasses and it could have been here anytime in the last 48 hours. Customer wise with months of video: Police department, town/city wide solutions, Hotels/resorts, Schools.......... -
Dahua Megapixel Camera- which VMS software FULLY support it?
thewireguys replied to liukuohao's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Searching for video at a specific time is easy on also most any system including Exacq. Even though when you find the video in Exacq you still have to wait for the video to be pulled from the server to the client. The challenge is looking something when you don't know what your looking for over days/weeks or months of video. This is something people do all the time and 99% of the VMS/NVR are very bad at this. -

Avigilon 5MP Dome vs AXIS P3367-VE
thewireguys replied to MagnumVP's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Avigilon's remote zoom/focus works fantastic. I have used it in all h.264 and PRO models and it just works. As for your issues with the JPEG2000 camera it takes patents and GOOD lenses to get nice sharp focus from the JPEG2000 cameras. -

@Vector18 are you starting a Dahua web store? -
ETS makes so very nice MICs and that are very helpful. I would skip that web site and order direct. Customers have been much happier with the ETS mics over the cheap ones.

DVR + ?? for security to detect fence cutting/climbing?
thewireguys replied to Razer_SE's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Running a wire though the fence will only detect if they cut the wire. They could still cut the fence and get it in without cutting your wire or if they would clime over fence your SOL. -

Exacq trigger for a garage door opener?
thewireguys replied to alpine0000's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Why does he need a timer relay again? Mine works fine without a timer. 1 sec trigger on the relay to the 2 wire control on the door. -
^^^ let me guess you used omni antennas?

A wireless system will have no issues with 30mbps IF you know how to design it properly and use the right gear. This a not a project you should take on for your first wireless project unless you wanna burn though all of time and money to get everything working.
