    You will need to switch your DVR new HDSDI unit along with the cameras plus you might have to change your wiring to support the bandwidth needs of HDSDI.

    Please post a screen shot this "ghosting" your talking about. This is not someone that would come from a faulty network cable.

    Any of the switched listed will handle your bandwidth requirements without issue. 84Mbps is not a lot of bandwidth 10/100 for the cameras and 1GB connection for the server.
  10. I have lots of cameras mounted on poles mostly wooden ones and vibration isn't a issue. When it gets windy the pole will sway but thats about it.

    You got the general idea. The trick is finding the gear that works well together without someone pulling the strings all the time.

  17. The delay is typically from h.264 compression and network latency. What compression are you using and what does your network design look like? how many switches are you using for this project?

    Please define "vast area" . Can you post a Google Earth image? What is your budget?
  19. Watch out for ISP's bandwidth caps. You can easily blow though these streaming video. Also make sure you read your ISPs contract to make sure your not violating their T&C.

    Our larger customers with +200 cameras are using HP pro switches without any issues. I find them very easy to use and reliable.
