Question regarding wiring an IR illuminator...
thewireguys replied to camera-newbie's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
These will work just fine and you can get them at any hardware store. Just make sure you use these on the bottom of the box where they are not exposed to direct rain. -
SMH.... How fast do you think you can run across a 100ft image? Have you ever seen a image from these cameras? I have demo'd this camera many times and NO one has complained about image rates with a image this size.

Total newb looking for help understaning.
thewireguys replied to 300winmag's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
You want to look for cameras that support POE. Any indoor camera that you chose that supports POE you will only need one Cat5 cable but a lot of outdoor cameras require more then just POE for the heater/blowers. These cameras require additional 12 or 24 power so you would want to run a cat5 and a 2 wire. -
Thank you Soundy

Camera updates are included in the yearly fees. If you stop playing them and you want to add a camera that is not on the list your SOL. -

Huh? This has nothing to do with the software upgrade fees and why are you always trying to circumvent the VMS manufactures SLA? Thewireguys, I have been lurking on this forum for a while and find buellwinkle's post to be very informative. We are talking about licencing, you are not a moderator so please stop moderating other members that bring valuable information to this forum. dsheli...... I am not moderating anything I am just correcting false information. I know Exacq very well. -

Vivotek FD8361 some questions
thewireguys replied to voip-ninja's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
This is why using built-in IR is useless. If you must use built in IR look for cameras that support intelligent IR if you want a useful pic. -
