Really please explain. This is why more manufactures need to have authorized dealers to stop this from happening otherwise their will be no more small businesses and Walmart will rule the world.

    very small battery backup

I just built a bunch of L-Com boxes with din-rail power supplies and din-rail POE switches..... so nice to install. I didn't use a UPS in this build but I have room to expand. http://www.emersonindustrial.com/en-US/egselectricalgroup/products/control-power-solutions/power-protection-conditioning/Pages/default.aspx

  10. Give me 2 months and I will have a analog B/W camera that can basically see in total darkness without IR.
  11. Axis's new Q line has got some great reviews for low light ability http://www.axis.com/products/q16_series/
  12. You have the h.264 encoder correct? They take a dry contact in put and if I remember correctly 2 is the ground and 3 is input 1 My Inovonics receiver will be here Monday.

HD-SDI Vs Std CCTV comparison video clips

Nice video but HD-SDI is NOT a standard..... HDCCTV is a standard

    VideoIQ encoder and PTZ

No it will not. The analytics will work when you have the camera in the home position.
  16. You sure about that? I have yet you see a P&S that has a CS mount lens Key word here shot! one single image!!!!!! not 24/7 video day or night. Speaking of night images how do they do without the flash in a low light environments? I so happen to have a couple Canon cameras including a 7D and played with the 5DII. I also sell IP MP cameras the use the same full frame sensors used in those DSLRs. The DSLRS take fantastic video when setup for your scene. So unless you wanna hang out by your camera with lighting and adjust the settings for a 24/7 operation they are not gonna cut it for a CCTV application. Also I know this has been brought up before but the P&S/DSLR cameras are not designed to run 24/7 in the summer and winter. You can send me your D800 and I will gladly install it on top of one of our ski resort customers mountains in the winter and let see how long it will last.

  21. Without shooting you down, I've found a lot of cameras are auto discoverable also have auto focus assist and of course most come with smart setup so you can incrementally assign IPs to all your cameras. Also, when did NUUO start charging on an annual basis. They certainly don't here. There is a difference between auto-discoverable and auto-discovered . I don't need to assign IP address to the cameras nor do I need software to do it or a DHCP server. I don't have much NUUO experience besides a Mini that I installed a couple of years ago but I have used/test most major VMS software and I have extensive experience with Exacq. Bottom line use what is in your comfort zone and what makes your customers happy.

You know what I think your right but I would hold off a couple of weeks for the new Vario anyway. Same price as the Fusion line but a lot more features.
