Nuuo Titan or Exacq NVR
thewireguys replied to tmescan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Avigilon's H.264 and Pro camera have remote zoom/focus which is controllable from the VMS so you don't have to remember all of the cameras ip addresses and passwords. This saves lots of time. Also the cameras are auto discovered with you put them on the network. Again saves lots of time not have to search for cameras on the network. Basically it is a plug and play solution. Basically the pricing is the same as Exacq/NUUO minus the recurring yearly fees so in the long run it is a cheaper solution. If you want pricing please DM me. -

Hardwired Thanks I knew that already. I talked to someone that was at the last UBNT show in Chicago and got to look at the new PRO camera. He said it was a beast VERY heavy but they still have work to do to compete with what we are used to in pro cameras. -

I would leave it on motion recording..... Even if it records most of the time it is still less then all the time and will save you storage space. -

The new Vario units are the same price and the Fusion units I am waiting for Ratec to send me a IR and White unit for a customer demo. They should be release in the next couple of weeks.

The new Raytec Vario units are sweet. Interchangeable lenses and remote controls for adjusting the units from the ground.

Provided you have full access to the network. We build our own networks

I have 3 of those Veracity units and never use them. Takes to much time to dig the cable out of the housing and then you have wait of the camera to power back up.. Remote/zoom focus and/or wireless access point so much easier.

I either use 2 guys or myself or tech at the camera and the customer at the head end. I always like having the customer at the head end because it kills to birds with one stone. Cameras get aimed and the customer approves a the same time. But we now use cameras that have remote zoom/focus and this is just fantastic. We installed 28 HD/Megapixel cameras, 2 switches, a server with all the patch cables today with 2 guys in 8 hours These cameras also have a analog output to make aiming the cameras even easier. I also always have a Ruckus access point in my bag so I can walk the building with my laptop if I need/want to.

Need Cameras For Business
thewireguys replied to aethyr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I think your going about this the wrong way. You could easily setup a couple of Axis M5014 720P PTZ cameras and set them up to record when your open for business. No need to worry about starting and stopping the recording let them record all day then when the class is over export the clips you need. I would recommend Avigilon CORE VMS supper simple to setup and export the video in AVI format the you can give your customers. You could even add the Gateway license to give you remote viewing of the cameras on your apple/android device when your walking around the dojo. Here is a clip from the Axis M5014 2eLilzwy-4k -
Q: Camera type (analog vs. IP) by location for residence?
thewireguys replied to ctbaker's topic in System Design
That is the same philosophy we have too but when dealing with IP cameras your support calls will increase greatly and its good to have a manufacture to back you up when you run into issues. -

^^^ You're both incorrect. This camera is not 1/2 or 1/3 inch according to the original manufacturers specs. "1/2.8” 3.0 Megapixel SONY progressive scan Exmor CMOS" http://www.dahuasecurity.com/English/product_info.aspx?type=338&&css=0&&id=4 -

If you don't know the pricing how can you assume this? There is a lot more to IP systems then price. Avigilon is plug and play no IT knowledge needed. This is what you get with cheap IP cameras:
