Any one have experience with these? I have a project that I would like to use them. I need to install a camera around/over a door and I think this would be a good option. http://www.axis.com/products/m31ve_series/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czv14O6QhJE

AXIS M3114-VE

I got the camera and so far I it is impressive for the size. The WDR does add some noise to the image but over all not bad. -
Low budget small town community-based CCTV system

I think your best option is to look at a VSaaS solution like Axis http://www.axis.com/products/avhs/index.htm -

Sounds like ADT bullet cameras with UTP plug. -
Low budget small town community-based CCTV system

I think this will be a administrators nightmare. Is everyone going to be required to have a static IP and minimum upload speeds? What happens if/when customers change ISPs? Do you have bandwidth caps from your ISPs? I think your best option is to look at a VSaaS solution like Axis http://www.axis.com/products/avhs/index.htm -

Need help to chose the best camera for my application.
thewireguys replied to lgRich's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Mobotix is nice because they have no moving parts, very low power and they don't require heater/blowers. Without seeing your site I would say the most versatile camera would be the M12. http://www.mobotix.com/eng_US/content/view/full/4648 http://www.mobotix.com/other/Support/Demos/HiRes-Image-Quality -

Have a look at Mobotix. A little over your budget but definitely worth a look. http://www.mobotix.com/eng_US/content/view/full/4648 http://www.mobotix.com/eng_US/References/Public-Sector/Weather-Documentation -
Wifi is tricky. First thing I would do is walk around with a spectrum analyzer and see where your issues are located. Notorious is correct will most likely need add multiple access points to the system to get the coverage you need. I have not used this yet but it might be an option for you http://www.ubnt.com/unifi If you can only use on access point there is only one company that does wireless different then everyone else and that is Ruckus. You will see about twice the range and twice the throughput over any other wireless node on the market.
