Best DVR for security cameras. AverMedia or Digimerge?
ouijadon replied to tsc757's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I've had 2 of the Avermedia NV7000 cards installed in my computer and running without problems for about 3+ yrs. I was recently suprised that the ipad app released called AverViewer works perfect and I can remote connect anywhere I have access to wifi on the ipad2. playback is also feature on the remote connect. Seen lots of good things about dahua so I'm getting interested, -

how do you protect the exposed wires outdoors

I would suggest pvc and gang boxes.. Make sure the seals are watertight or drill a hole or two beneath the tubing for runoff -

I have a white line that move from the top of my screen to the bottom but only when I am using multi view. If I view individual cams there are no line problems but when i switch to the 2x2 screen or the 3x3 screen i get the blinking cams and the white line... I tried viewing remotely and the 2x2 screen or the 3x3 screen has no lines or blinking... Any comments on how this can be fixed? I dont think its a problem with the wiring because the idividual cam shots are good... i tried to take snapshots but the lines are not appearing in the shots

it would seem so.

I am setting up a system for a friend who only wants to be able to view his cameras live. I was thinking of running the cameras to a multiplexer any other ideas?
-
The cameras would be viewed locally. Your set up sounds pretty nice and convenient. I will do some research on the modulator. How much would I be looking at spending on the modulator. Is there also a way to have the tv automatically tune into the channel 72 (in your case) when the cameras sense motion..
