This works for me even on the latest firefox How to use Firefox to live view Hikvision device 1. Install the plug in first. 2. Open a blank page of Firefox and input about:config (where you normally type the web address) 3 Press Enter. Click on the, “I Accept the Risk” Button. 4. You will then be in the plugin section of Firefox. Right click, then go to NEW from the dropdown list. You will have 3 options to choice from, you will need to select Boolean. Once you have done that, you will need to type the plugin name: plugin.load_flash_only Click OK and choose “false” for the VALUE. 5. Exit firefox and reload the DVR/NVR web interface to 'accept' to run the plugin at the top of the page (all being well).

Hi all New to the forum so be nice... I have done a bit of searching but I keep coming up the same thread with some very differing opinions so I thought I take a poke at asking I have 3 12MP Hikvision fisheye cameras and will add 1 more 2MP - 4MP standard cam soon I am currently running iVMS-4200 latest version with storage server. motion processing is set up on the iPCams and continuous recording is happening on the vms software. I have an Core i5 350ghz with 8 meg of ram intel HD 4200 graphics...I am afraid it is choking So I am considering buying an NVR.. specifically this one if I can find it for sale DS-7608NI-I2 http://www.hikvision.com/en/Products_accessries_212_i5728.html The spec's of this NVR says it is capable of 12MP streams... do you think I will see improvement in performance, video quality, reliability? Anyone know where I can buy this mystery machine I list above, I have only been able to find the one that comes with POE ports which I do not need and would prefer not paying for...
