    Yeah, I'm not likely to solder the new component. I was hoping to buy a replacement used QT428, but they're too much money. I'll think about it a little longer....Thanx PS $1,000 deductible.....

    I had a lightning hit on my house. Looks to have blown the ethernet port on my QT428 8-channel DVR. I don't want to buy a new one (and they're both pricey and hard to find....) Any ideas? Rest of the system works fine...just the RJ45 port.
