Maybe someone can help me out here. I have one DVR hooked up with a router in one location and that one works great. Thanks to the people here who helped me out with that. Now I have a second DVR with no router. This location has no computer. So the modem is straight into the DVR. I setup the modem with a laptop and was getting internet, so I know the modem is working. In the DVR setup menu where the gateway goes do I need to input the IP of the modem????? Do I need to do anything with the subnet mask or the madeup IP address of the DVR?? Any help would be great. Hi, first time visiting this site, I hope somone can help. I am trying to configure a Samsung DVR model #SHR8020 for remote viewing. I have a linksys router model #WRT54G. I have read many other forums and this seems to be the best. Some step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated. I know I have to do port fowarding but just not sure about much else. Please remember that I am totaly new to this. Thanks.
