  1. The first monitor is close to the DVR although the cabling goes through the wall. The issue is the second monitor which is in another room. Currently the first monitor has a video out that feeds the second monitor.
  2. Hi everyone, based on my research here I purchased an Dahua professional DVR with 8ch recording. I hooked it up to our Panasonic WV CK 2020 and it doesn't display anything at all. This monitor used to work with our AvTech DVR and still does but not the Dahua. We tried lowering the resolution to 1024x768 but still no luck. Any idea what the problem could be? Thanks
  3. Dahua has 1024x768 as the lowest resolution... If I was to upgrade does that mean I would need to change the cabling from BNC cables to other types too?
  4. I tried hooking it up to a computer LCD screen through a RGB in and it worked. I didn't want to go to the trouble\expense of replacing our 2 monitors now...
  5. Hi everyone, I used this forum a few years back and purchased a CPCam 501m for our business. Well, after removing the hard drive to try to replace it, it doesn't accept any new hard drives and seems to have. It does output video but doesn't record anymore. I was wondering what a good DVR would be for a 6ch possibly 8ch in the future setup? Should I stick with AvTech\CpCam again? I kind of don't feel too great about them after this thing died on us. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Hi everybody, this forum was really helpful in me getting the correct DVR for our office. I have just one question, my CpCam 501\AVTech 781 is really loud and messes up the ambience in my room because it's right next to my chair. Is there any way to quiet down this beast? Possibly a suggestion for a replacement fan or something... Would it be wise to remove the fan? The DVR does exactly what I need it to do it's just loud as hell, the fans not the hard drive. Last question, we used to have a quad installed, I can just throw that away now right??? Thank you.

    Quieting a Cpcam 501\AvTech 781

I'm going to try to buy either a replacement fan or a resistor and see if it quiets it down some. Would you guys know where I can buy the fans\resistors or heatsinks to put on this thing?

    Quieting a Cpcam 501\AvTech 781

It's just so damn loud. I think I'm going to just remove the fan from there. I mean there's no CPU or anything else running, I don't think it can get hot enough to break.
