I have been getting quotes and looking around at self-install exterior security camera systems. I am pre-wired with Coax and Cat5e so looking at POE cameras. Preferably something higher res like a 4MP and up with an NVR. I am pretty techy/handy and could try to install myself but having them installed sounds nice as well. The brands the installers are suggesting don't ever seem to have reviews online that I can find. I have quotes for Luma series, some brand called E-Line, and I've also seen decent reviews on Lorex and I know Hikvision seems to be liked on this forum, but Hikvisions seems to be online only and not sure about extended warranties. I also saw a few suggest B&H to purchase since they have a decent warranty? Has anyone ever heard of E-Line cameras? And the Luma cams? Any suggestions on a direction to go? So many options. Any insight would be appreciated.
