Dahua NVR Losing Network Connection Every Second
kmax1940 replied to kmax1940's topic in Computers/Networking
No, you cannot set that manually. They said it was set to auto... and there is nowhere in the gui to change it. -
We just installed a new Dahua NVR at a school. The NVR loses its network connection every second or so when connected to the schools gigabit network. We know its the NVR losing network connectivity because we can ping the NVR and see it dropping. When we move the NVR and camera off the schools network and on to our own gigabit network the nvr and cameras work fine with no drops. The strange thing is that when we put an OLD model of dahua NVR on the schools network... It works FINE with no problems. We have tried a couple of the new model NVR's and they both do the same thing.... dropping network connection. Any suggestions?

Hello, we are using the sureview cloud right now... (immix) When you login to immix... You tell it the ip of your dvr click "get config" It will bring back all the camera names and you can check off the ones you want to add to the "site" you are creating. then when you create that site... your end users can view those camera via browsers and mobile devices. -

Thanks for the reply... but we are trying to create a web based "cloud" that integrates with dahua dvrs and nvrs... We are not trying to just install their pss software... An actual cloud based video service that can connect to the video from dahua products... -
How to integrate with Dahua DVRs and NVRs
kmax1940 posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hello, does anyone have idea how to get started integrating with Dahua DVRs and NVRs? I need to create web based "cloud" solution that will grab the video from dahua DVRs or NVRs and restream it to my end users via browsers and mobile devices. I need to find the starting point for the integration? Would I have to contact Dahua and get their permission to do an integration? What I mean is... would I need their source code for the firmware to get started? Thanks -
Hello, 16 channels... any amount for good quality. I understand about the java and activex vs local quality... I am just saying those are features we need in the dvr. Thanks

Why would anyone go with an analog camera system these days?
kmax1940 replied to ak_camguy's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes. No problem. But our average client has less than 2 Mbps... and I dont see that changing for a long time. -

kmax1940 replied to ak_camguy's topic in General Digital Discussion
The reason we are still using analog is... bandwidth. Our customers typically have: * Roughly 1Mbps upload or less. * 16 Cameras. * Need at least 15 web based viewers at any given time. If anyone knows how to stream 16 ip cameras over 1Mbps to at least 15 viewers please let me know! I will gladly change to IP immediately. -
Hello, we have used GeoVision for the past 11 years but lately their quality has gotten horrible. We have some 7-9 year old GV servers that look crisp and clear compared to the new GV servers. Can anyone suggest a DVR with really clear picture? Also, we need to be able to embed the video into our web pages. We need a higher quality version like activex.... We also need a version that does not require the user to install anything... something like java etc. Thanks Kmax

If we try to view all cameras on our dahua nvr via the web it crashes... Even when trying to load the "second stream" or "sub stream". Anyone know of any other software that will play the video from dahua ip cameras and be stable?
