That's a beautiful piece of equipment. Thank you for suggesting it. My main concern would be that it would be quite conspicuous in our car, increasing the likelihood of a break-in, as that's probably what the thief has been after all along but never able to find: electronic gear with some street value. I was thinking that there might be a small dome-type camera (a 1.5-inch cube) that would be relatively inconspicuous on the rear view mirror block but maybe that is just a fantasy with no basis in reality at this time, so I will have to abandon it.

Indeed, a full-size dash cam would probably be counterproductive, in terms of encouraging a break-in. I had been wondering about a small dome-type camera that could be discreetly mounted on the base of the rear view mirror on the ceiling. But maybe such a thing does not yet exist, in which case thank you just the same for kindly responding to my post.

First, my apologies if this is not the correct forum or subforum for posting this question. We're looking for a small camera with night vision that we can mount on the base of the rear view mirror on the ceiling of our car, to record the thief or thieves who are regularly breaking into our vehicle, which we are obliged to park outside at night (as we don't have a garage). Trying to figure out how such a device would be powered and how exactly it could be used. In other words, where the video would be stored and accessed, what the charges would be for establishing the service and so on. If I'm not posting in the appropriate forum/subforum, perhaps someone could be so kind as to direct me to the appropriate venue. Thank you!
