Hi Stan, Have you made any further progress with Linux & HikVision DS4008HCI? Looking at eBay there are a couple of dealers selling DVRs running Linux that could contain HikVision cards. Might be worth asking them item=320159984161 item=320188539823 I'd be interested in how you get on. I've got one and am currently using the SkyVision NVR Software on XP. Seems ok. Cheers, Mark.
