Depending what cameras and what amount of date they push out, but you can use these products. US quality, quite cheap and reliable. http://ubnt.com/products/nsm.php It says 150+ Mbps, but cut that in half for real numbers. You can set separate link for each camera, or try combining few cameras onto one link. This device is universal, it can be switched to client or access point. My install with NanoStation 2 -
Advice for Vivotek ST7501
robert replied to d-tech's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Technically you can do this - Core i7 processors are very powerful, so no problem with hardware I think. But I would not recommend as it can make software crash or not run smoothly. -

What is the shutter speed? These Axis cameras go as low as 2 seconds. Try posting a simple walk test (normal speed walking across the FOV). Best, Christopher I cant access this camera. These images were sent to me. This is with 100w halogen floodlight: With 35w LED light: 35w led vs 100w halogen - what a difference!!!! -

About software: it reminds me an apple iPhone software - its easy to use, easy to understand, made for human beings, really nice to work with. Actual software is expensive, compared to something like Luxriot. Avigilon makes cameras, software, all accessories themselves - thats HUGE benefit. You get a-z from one company(like apple), so you know it will work 100%. They even sell Dell hardware, so you can get perfect kit, plug & play with guaranteed peace of mind. The way to build system - they have their own online system builder which is far best I have ever seen. Just dream tool for building your set up - from lense calculation with model suggestions to NVR storage space tool etc. Lenses. If you have seen their price list, they have tested dozens of lenses available on market and matched to their cameras. SO, you dont have to guess if this lense is any good with this camera. Also every lense has their comment about its performance and you know its real, not marketing bla bla bla from lense manufacturer. I do agree with some of your statements. CMOS cameras are not very good at night, but they dont cost like their CCD pro range, about the same as Arecont. So, on CMOS camera quality I cannot say Avigilon is Lamborgini, but just best between other manufacturers. I doubt you will be able to build 100 camera system, as for example single CMOS 5mpix DN dome camera on visually loseless video recording gives out 81 Mbps - you just dont have such a computer power in these days yet. Of course you can lower image quality, but then whats the point of buying Avigilon then? Their CCD camera range - thats best stuff you can find and it is Lamborgini. I can carry on for long, but you have to see all demo videos, check cameras, spec etc, to realise that this is nice stuff -
Just ordered a Basler BIP-1300DN with images

I do have some official Basler camera comparison to IQ, Arecont, Axis, Vivotek. Anybody interested, drop me your email and I`ll forward you. Quite interesting. Also, Secunext dont make their cameras. Actual manufacturer is MESSOA from Taiwan, www.messoa.com -
Is LED light good for CCTV night video?
robert replied to robert's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes, white light LED flood lights will work fine. Best, Christopher But is there a point of spending so much money on LED lighting? Does it give MUCH better video compared to ordinary lighting? -

Avigilon, but you should stop dreaming NOW, because like said - its kind of Lamborgini and does cost like it But you get what you pay - top top top. -

IP camera Software
robert replied to CCTV_Suppliers's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Where can we download to test this package? When you say "unlimited cams", what are the restrictions? Is it Windows or Linux based? What really makes this package to stand out vs. most others? www.luxriot.com If you dont activate it you have few restrictions: no remote connection, just 1 camera, video archieve max 5GB. Restrictions for unlimited cams - none. Just hardware. Windows based. Price/value. Its VERY easy to install and setup, user friendly interface. -

Definitely. IP has been around just for about 7-9 years compared to analog minimum 20. As time goes, it will happen. -

Luxriot is very nice and easy software and superb value for that money. -
IP camera Software

Agree with that. For example Milestone. Completely ****. Server, camera, updates - all charged separately. Server should be free, all you should buy - license PER camera, one ip address, one license. Updates should be free for life. -

All the time. They have few problems: 1. They dont reply 2. They reply after you emailed them 3 times the same email. 3. You ask them 3 questions, they reply to just one pretending you never asked another two. I cant call it a tech support, no way. Just surprising how bad some companies can be. -

Just mind you that Exacq support is terrible. They just dont reply or reply to emails they want. Its been 48hrs I sent my email, no reply. Tried calling UK phone number all day today, nobody there, just voicemail. Unbelievable -
POE Switch Suggestion?
robert replied to bpzle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I can tell you one thing from my experience I have learned - dont buy cheap ones like Dlink, Netgear, Planet, its SO crap, more problems than actual usage. HP, Dell, Linksys etc.
