  1. If you want good and cheap - IQvision +Luxriot NVR software. If you want VERY good and more expensive - Avigilon cameras +Avigilon software.

  3. Any? It would be so much easier to focus ip cameras. How do you focus them ?
  4. Can you list their megapixel lenses?
  5. I have made table of all megapixel lenses I know. Feel free to download. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=7cd3822fac0f0d8f08f8df73f2072ed6e04e75f6e8ebb871
  6. As far as I know - Arecont have some, AI at the end of model. Avigilon also have.
  7. I would definitely go for Sony. ACTi is cheap and not so good, BUT very good for that price.
  8. There are few very good lens manufacturers - Tamron, Computar and Fujinon(best). Just make sure you get right lense for right camera - not 1.3 megapixel lens for 3mpix camera. Auto iris function is needed. If you use day/night lense, you shouldnt need to focus it at night again.
  9. IP camera being fed PoE via CAT5. Can it be placed right next to mains cable or it will give some problem?
  10. Cant find it on the internet, just few articles, but no actual product info
  11. That's a big, "it depends". How long will they be run together? How close together? How much current is the mains carrying? Is it loomex, or BX type cable? Worst case, the interference causes network dropouts... fairly easy to diagnose. I want to know how long they can be run together with 220v cable. How close: 0 to 1 inch/2.5cm.
  12. Its must not be outdoor switch, but it must work at minimum -20 celsius. Any?
  13. Found lense here, not that expensive http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&Q=&IC=CA6004LISEF&A=RetrieveSku There is even 800m version: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&A=RetrieveSku&IC=CA80056LISEF&Q= Nice stuff
  14. Any feedback after adding IR illuminator? Did motion blur disappeared?
  15. What about Linksys SRW208P? Is Linksys quality stuff? http://www-id.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=ID%2FLayout&cid=1175229863180&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=6318086156B20
  16. Anybody can explain in few simple words why PoE switch must be 802.3af compatible on all ports(for every camera)? I tried to read on google about it, cant damn get idea of it. There are many PoE switches, but only some are 802.3af. But you can connect PoE cameras to those non 802.3af switches also and they do work. So where is the trick of 802.3af
  17. I`d like to see that.... Cant give a login as it was only valid for a few days. I'm not saying it was like sitting in from of the system on lan, but it was certainly usable which surprised me given works ISP link. I don`t believe in that, no way. As long as its H264, but even that 50/50.
  18. Why would you need 30fps?? Is it F1 race track? Dont forget that if you have 20-30 hard drives, failure rate will be high. They DO fail, even server class drives. You better off using something like 8fps(which is enough) and recording by motion detection only, so having much less hard drives.
  19. Can anybody explain - who actually makes these megapixel cameras - Arecont or CBC?! And how comes that CBC cameras are SO much cheaper? http://computarganz.com/product_subcategory.cfm?subcategory_id=11

  21. I need it for day/night camera Av5100. But as no IR light will be used, normal non day/night lense also will do the job. Brand, model?
