This is almost impossible. Try to use CMS. You will need PC/Laptop connected with TV as monitor. Install CMS in your PC/Laptop then configure your CMS. I am not familiar with smart meye, but it will work on AVTECH CMS (Video Viewer).

Have you tried to reset both camera and dvr ?

Since you want to use Network CCTV, try to find Hikvision NVR that has PoE feature for camera. You won't be needing any additional device if each of CCTV Cables is below 100 meters. Difference will be on Casing and Weatherproof features (IP66/IP67) Dome camera usually not suitable to be placed on the outdoor. I would like to give advice for recommended CCTV Camera specification will be : - at least 2 MP Resolution (1080p) - 2.8 or 3.6 mm fixed lens (varifocal lens will be better). - has Infrared LED. - IP67/IP66 if you're planning to place them outside. - warranty at least 1 year - has a service center. As for options : 1. If you can handle the mess that will happen during cable installation then use CCTV with HD Analog. 2. If you don't want any mess, have good budget and good wifi coverage then use P2P Camera (search Arlo Netgear in Youtube). Thanks

Hi Guys, Newbie here and I am sorry in advanced since English is not my native language. I am handling a project that requires to place cameras that about 1,000 - 1,600 feet (300 - 500 meter) away from DVR. There are at least 8 cameras that are in this distance. Usually I'll use IP Cam + P2P Access Point in this kind of design. But, the owner is a quite insisting in using cables instead. I have never tried to pull this much of cable distance. Now, I'm a bit concern that the image quality will be poor or worse, just pitch black. CCTV Camera specification will be, - 2 MP Resolution - 12V DC I've read that video balun can help in my case. Please, enlighten me. Thank you.
