Hi, I am after a Cctv system from HIKVISION. I have looked on eBay and there is 1000s! I want a 4ch system. Dome type cameras, 2mp. Budget £350. I am choosing 2mp as my monitor is only 1080p so there is no point in me getting 3-5mp cameras when I will only be able to see 1080p? This if for my home. I don’t need anything high tech. Just want to be able to view 4ch@1080p on my monitor in a 4 screen split. And get the app on my phone. And to be decent in night vision. My dad bought a high tech system not long ago. 5mp ip cameras 4K nvr. And he has a 4K monitor! However he can only view the 4xch split screen in 1080p max. But he can view 1ch in a single screen at 5mp. He thought buying a 5mp system he can view all 4 in a split screen @5mp. He was wrong. And that was the hole point of getting a 5mp system to see in 4 split screen lol Anyway for a 2mp system for around £350 can anyone recommend any? Must be UK version as well.

Hi. No 4 .... 4K is the limit for 8 and 16 way Also tom. Do you no if I can turn off night vision mode off the 2385s? My front garden is lite with street lights. Ideally I don’t want my front cam to go into night mode. Is that possible? Thanks mate

Hi guys. I have a DS-7608NI-I2-8P and 4x 4K turret cams 2385s I’m currently recording at 4x 4K and also live view at 4x4k on my 4K monitor. Bit rates around 8000 and 20frames on all 4. I want to add another 2x 2385s to my system. Would I still be able to record at 6x 4K ? And live view at 6x4k?

Ar dam ok. So if I add 2 more 4K cams what wil all 6 be recording at mate? Like 1080p? And live view all at 1080p ?

What app did you use ? What’s the latest ivms app people using? Is it 4500 lite or 4500 hd?

Trying to figure out why my live view is around 2-3 seconds behind my 4K monitor that’s plugged directly in from my nvr via hdmi. If I am sat watching my monitor and a car goes past as I look out the window it’s already gone. Or if I come into my house and look straight at my monitor I am still outside shows the monitor lol. It’s kinda annoying . Does anyone no why this is? I have played with frame and bitrate no look.

My system is 4x Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I 8MP 2.8mm Fixed Lens 30 Metre IR Turret Network Camera Hikvision 8 Channel 4K (12MP) UHD IP NVR with 8 POE Ports (DS-7608NI-I2/8P) I currently have frame rate at 15 and bit at 4000 ish. I also have the h.265+ enabled

Hi, I have a Hikvision Cctv. I have the app on my phone all running fine. I have tried to access via web browser at work on computer but it says no plug in?

And a another question. I really liked my old app. Viewcan.net for a none Hikvision system. I have tried for hours to connect my new Hikvision system to this app and it just fails every time! I take it that not all apps can be connected?

I am having my new Hikvision Cctv system fitted this week. Just wondering can you use any app? Or does it have to be Hik-Connect app.? I just like my current app called viewcan. It loads way quicker than my sisters Hik-Connect app. And it’s easier to use.

But qvis don’t offer 4K Cctv yet? Wouldn’t that mean qvis is behind Hikvision mate?

In fact for live viewing on a 4 split screen on a 4K monitor you can only get a max of 4x 2k. If wanted 4x4k live view you would need a 8k monitor? Meaning it’s never gona be possible to get 4x 4K live viewing on a 4K monitor is that correct @tomcctv Also Tom did you get my pm?

Arr ignore that I just looked up your nvr and yours is the latest 1 that has an output of 12mp. So yours on data sheet says you can view 4ch or 8ch @ 4K! My 4K nvr says I can run 4ch@1080p! Iam now very interested to see if you can! get all 4 channels to work at once in live view on a 4K screen ? While recording in 4K ?

Hi, yes I may have resolved the issue (touch wood) I lowered the bitrate on two of the less important cameras and all seems to be OK so far. I did this about two weeks ago, previously the system would have stalled within a week. I'm running 4 x 8MP cameras recording at 4K in H.264, full frame, the bitrates are set as follows 1st 8192 2nd 4096 3rd 4096 4th 1024 I'm recording in 4k but only viewing live output at 1080p as I've split the hdmi output to view it on two screens in different parts of the house, I've got to keep it at 1080p as one of the screens won't support anything higher. Cheers Emm interesting! As I could never get to record at 4K while viewing in 1080p. I have to choose 1 or the other. I will play about with the bitrates again but did do for weeks! And even from the Cctv tech guy on who I bought my system from they said it’s not possible to record in 4K while watching live view at 1080px4 When you say you have to keep it at 1080p due to one of your screens outputs. What do you mean mate? That you can if wanted get a full 4K on 4 channels on a 4K monitor? It does say in data sheet that the nvr you have is capaibale of 4ch@1080p or 1ch@ 4K so I don’t think it’s ever possible to get 4ch@4k?

Many thanks for the reply spotmom I'll have a look at that, it seems strange as the NVR is supposed to support 8 x 12MP cameras and I'm only running 4 x 8MP cameras. The system seems stable for a while then throws a wobbly for no reason. I'll look at backing off the bit rate and see how they go. Did you figure this out mate? I had the same problem. 4K nvr. 4x 5mp cams. On split screen you cant view all 4cams at 5mp. Only 1 was working at 5mp in split screen the rest was substream and very poor. Long story short. Only options I had was 1st option: I had to set recording at 1080p in order to view all 4 in split screen at 1080p. And will record in 1080p (being this option I am wasting the extra 3mp so should of just bought 4x 2mp cams instead) 2nd option: set recording at 4K, be able to view all 4 in split screen but it will be in substream (very poor) but it will record in 5mp. (This option isn’t good for us because if we are sit here looking at the monitor it looks blurry like my old old 720p system was twice as good! What annoys me is if you want a 4K system. 4x 4K cams and you have a 4K monitor. You would think you can view all 4 cams in split screen at 4K and record at 4K. But that’s not the way it works you only have them 2 options view all 4 in 1080p, record in 1080p. Wasting the rest of the mp’s. Or record in 4K but viewing on monitor in very poor substream

Why call down....your eBay links are from them But some more advice .....when you see .... Hikvision uk software in discription ....then you are not buying from a hikvision aurtherised seller. AAACCTV ltd.... Aka ...... Exvision CCTV ltd struck off 2017 now calling themselfs HD security ltd. Good luck on them being aurtherised which I know there not with us only being 12 miles from them. Ok mate thanks. I looked up that system you said and it’s trade only no prices online either ? I will pop down to hdsecure it’s a big company near me who sell Hikvision systems. And ask what system can I get that I can view 4 sceens at 1080p. I just don’t get if I buy a 2mp system. Why can’t I view all 4 at 1080p. It’s confusing! If I want to view all 4 at 1080p would I need 4mp cams mate? My head is burnt!

Hi, but I will be able to see 4x split screen at full 1080p on a 2mp camera kit? It’s live view that’s also important. And want to view the monitor at 1080p atleast As for Hikvision. My dads is around 3 months old and he had all the how to ect with his. And was from eBay. Instructions on how to connect to phones ect including how to get the new Hik-Connect my dad said was very easy? Will have a look at them cams you posed now but HIKVISION should be 1 of the best being mosty used ? I don’t like to buy a system that isn’t much info on online
