  1. Found it, it's an serial TTL adapter
  2. Forgot this last point which is, always use old IE when connecting to dahua products web interface.
  3. What is the IP of your computers nettwork port? It has to be in the same IP range as the VTO or you can't discover it. The VTO's default IP is either 192.168.1.109 or 192.168.1.110(Sorry can't remember at the moment) I'm guessing you're network port usually is set to DHCP. Set it to static and use IP: 192.168.1.100, set it back to DHCP when you're done with this setup. In VDP config in 'Search settings' set it from: 192.168.1.1 to: 192.168.1.255 Username/password: admin/admin. You should now be able to both connect via browser and discover it through VDP config.
  4. From what I can understand from the topology you've marked ports 17 and 18 as uplinks.. But from the management chart you've set port 19 to trunk. So either you reconnect the cable from port 18 to 19 or just set port 18 to trunk.
  5. I'm working for a CCTV supplier company, mainly with dahua products and I'm trying to get hold of one more RS232(?) card, as seen in the pictures below. Secondly I'm also in need of extra cables for this card, the smallest broke today and now I'm in dire need of new ones. Can someone please help me with this issue. Lastly, sorry for not being 100% sure of the cards correct name, I'm fairly new in this job and our supplier, dahua, isn't very forthcoming with the information I need to get hold of a new one.

Norwegian, now working for a CCTV supplier here to get help with an issue I'm currently having and hopefully give some advice as well. Been working in the security field for little over a decade, exclusively with CCTV for the last 6 or 7 years. Been with my current company since September of last year, the work is very interesting but way more demanding/different than working for an installer.
