Max number of channels on a 2.4GHz wireless video receiver
glf replied to glf's topic in General Digital Discussion
Exactly, I'm talking about RF 2.4 Gig Analog transmission used on video cameras, like the one shown below: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-RC802-Wireless-Video-Audio-AV-FPV-2-4Ghz-Receiver-RX-W-Channel-Digital-Number-Display/1909843986.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.19.IWHVLj&ws_ab_test=201556_2,201527_1_71_72_73_74_75,0_0 -
Max number of channels on a 2.4GHz wireless video receiver
glf posted a topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello, I'm looking for a 2.4 GHz wireless video receiver and I've found that there are various models that claim to have a number of channels ranging from 4, 8, 12 or even 16. How many channels can be used in reality by a 2.4 GHz camera to transmit ? -
So, we can say that there is no standard for video transmission over wireless, like you have on wireless data networks, because every manufacturer can use different channels. I was trying to use a video wireless receiver to "scan" for neighbors video cameras, but now I know that this will not give any warranty to find a transmitting device.
-
Can someone please tell me if the 2.4 Ghz wireless camera have defined standard channels for the transmission of video images ? E.g., I want to know if any standard wireless video receiver can connect to any brand wirelss camera.

I'm looking for an outdoor day/night Poe camera, and so far I've selected the Ubiquiti Unifi Video Camera (720p NON Pro version), for a price of about 120 €. Some people say that spending a little bit more you can get a 3MP cam with similar specs, but in old forum post I can't find brand or model specified. Can someone please suggest something on the matter ?

Yes, It is better to have a bigger screen. There is no tester support 5V output power to camera in market. You need to use extra power supply for your camera. And for tester, please reference: http://www.cctv-supplier.com/products/Wrist-CCTV-Tester-large-screen-clear-picture.html#.VLzKktJWEXU Thank You for the suggestion, but I've already ordered this device: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-5-inch-TFT-LCD-MONITOR-COLOR-CCTV-Security-Surveillance-CAMERA-TESTER-F2024A-TEST/959336769.html It's to use with two rca (male and female) inspection cameras.

My final choice is between this model 3.5 inch TFT LCD COLOR MONITOR without recording capability http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-5-inch-TFT-LCD-MONITOR-COLOR-CCTV-Security-Surveillance-CAMERA-TESTER-F2024A-TEST/959336769.html and those two models 2.7" TFT LCD display with video recording http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-2-8-DC-12V-800mA-Output-CCTV-Tester-Monitor-With-Photo-Video-Recording/1753474323.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-7-TFT-LCD-display-960x240-Resolution-Security-Tester-CCD-Camera-tester-CCTV-tester-with-TF/1700120070.html I'm not sure if it's better to have a bigger screen and buy the first or one of the 2.7" TFT LCD

RCA video output connector and and power input
glf posted a topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Can someone please tell me what are the power specification of an RCA video output connector and if they must match power input specification found on video cameras ? For example: let's suppose the power input of a cam require 12V. RCA video output connector will receive 12V ? -
I've found an interesting CCTV Tester model but with 12V power output that is not suitable for my cam that accepts 3.3-5V. The solution should be to power the cam with an external 3.3-5V Psu and connect the Video RCA only to the tester. Can someone please tell if this setup is ok or the Video RCA will receive 12V ?

Some models linked in my previous post can record videos.

I already have one of this device, but it lacks portability

I post some cheap models I've found: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-5-inch-CCTV-Monitor-Installation-Mate-Project-Security-Camera-Video-Tester-F2029A/1569267058.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-5-TFT-LCD-Monitor-CCTV-Security-Surveillance-Camera-Tester-TEST-12V-Out-Put/2007960822.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-7-TFT-LCD-display-960x240-Resolution-Security-Tester-CCD-Camera-tester-CCTV-tester-with-TF/1700120070.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-2-8-DC-12V-800mA-Output-CCTV-Tester-Monitor-With-Photo-Video-Recording/1753474323.html Any opinion is welcomed.

Hello, I'm looking for a cheap cctv tester in the 50$ range to use with my inspection snake camera. This borescope cam has an rca connector and a power input that accepts 3.3-5V. The cctv tester is mainly intended to have a portable monitor, to power the device and maybe recording capability integrated. I have seen many devices that meet my requirements, but I'd like some advice. Thank you.

No one has made some test with the Kt&C camera in question ? I plan to order it in a few days. Bye

Does the KT&C KPC-S190SWX use an ExView Sony CCD ?
