Hello I am not saying it’s not good enough at all. I only know of Alteq and QVIS (falcon) brands. I am sure there are many more but I really haven’t got a clue lol. I was just asking to find out reliable brands to compare but from the specs I have seen in the Qvis it looks ok. What other Qvis models do they have and what do they offer? -

The budget I have listed is for the full product. This is roughly what I am after. The cabling is all in place so just need the hardware Budget £600 - £700 Items after - 8 IP NVR with PoE - 5 x Dome (grey) IP cameras ( not sure what spec is needed) - HDD to suit camera spec but cover a few weeks of data Features - Motion detection - alert notification - view remotely - iPhone app for viewing - support so I can call for help or view a website -

Hello I want nothing like what I had so if that is a cheap import then NO lol. I would say around £600 - £700 but again is that enough? I enquired about the QVIS setup over IP and that was about £500 for all mentioned in my original post. Do these offer support to individual buyers like myself? -
Hello all I am not that familiar with CCTV setup but after a major fail with an Alteq NVR I am looking to buy a new setup. Can anyone recommend a brand that offers really good features and has a good support service? I want options like remote viewing of my property, motion detection, some sort a notification service. Have I missed off any features that these devices offer that are a must? The reason I mentioned the support option is because when I researched Alteq (the original NVR I got) I couldn’t find anything like guides, software, etc. The setup I am after is an 8 channel IP NVR with PoE, 2-3 TB HDD, 5 x IP Dome (grey) cameras and the features I mentioned above + any I missed. I live in the Uk area the Leeds / York area. I was recommended the Qvis Viper so far but I couldn’t say if it good or bad. Any help / Advice will be appreciated Cheers

Thank you for the reply regarding the viper from qvis, can you recommend any suppliers? Also what apps does it use or have qvis got its own apps? I assume the cms is GUI interface side of things. what functions does it offer (email alert, motion detection, etc) Rhys -

Thank you for your reply. I have not paid any money yet, so that is not a concern yet. This is for my home. What would you recommend as a solution. I currently have 4 cameras up but looking to add another in the garage. As I don’t have a network cable in the garage, can power adaptors be used? Rhys -
Hello All I am in need of some NVR advice. I have had a CCTV fitted but we never got the exteranl access to the NVR sorted. I could only connect and view the camera's via a QR Code because connecting via local IP's didnt work. The NVR is back with the supplier for testing but he seems to have dropped out of contact. At the moment i have 4 Alteq IP Camera's fitted and i was wondering if anyone and recommend an NVR that will work with the cameras i have. I dont really have much knowledge on NVR's in regards to protocols they use, etc. I do know i want to be able to view my cameras remotley and also get motion alerts. Can anyone please help?? I am UK based so any places or websites that sell to the general public will also be a great help Cheers
