I have a Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZHS ip-camera. The camera worked fine the first month, but suddenly I could not change Smart Event Motion, Intrusion Detection and the other choices under Smart Event. I always get the message "Device error" in a little box. The changes doesn't work. I have looked around almost everywhere, contacted the supplyer, but so far no luck. I have upgraded to the last firmware and everything else work fine. As I am far away remote from the camera I am afraid to set the camera back to default which may be a solution as I then can end up with no working setting of smart event. (Giving me hundreds of standard motion event per day instead). Have anyone done reset to default setting of a Hikvision camera? Will that fix the problem? Any other solution?
