Is there a release date for 8.3.2 ?
-
I had 8200, 8220, 8300, and 8301 working with IE 8.

If you changed the Http port from the default, you have to enter it in the IP address. Example: 55.55.55.55:3000

Avtech DVR video viewing on CELLPHONE?
ilkevinli replied to mikeygt350's topic in Digital Video Recorders
You need to install either EagleEyes which is a java based application. There is also another one that works but I forgot thename. I think it is V787 or something like that. -
It sounds like windows may be crashing. Windows is set to reboot by default when it crashes. Try this: 1. Right click "My Computer" and select Properties 2. Click the Advanced Tab 3. Click on the Settings button under Start up and Recovery 4. Uncheck the box Automatically Restart Now if windows crashes it will show the Blue screen of death and it will also show you whats crashing it. Good luck

Can't log through internet explorer's (Geovision Server?)
ilkevinli replied to dmor's topic in Geovision
Click on "Network" and then "Network Port Information" and then "Webcam Server". It would be the Http port number I never had to do that before. I could give anyone my ip address over the phone and have them log on. However, if anything has changed, where would I look for the port number? Thanks -

ilkevinli replied to dmor's topic in Geovision
Make sure you are putting the port number at the end. It should look like this: http://192.168.1.15:2000 Or your trying from outside your house: Http://65.65.65.65:2000 -
Yes. You just have to keep hitting "allow" and "run" and the plugins will install.

Issue with remote connection with PDA using G-View for v8.2
ilkevinli replied to JROD's topic in Geovision
I had to foward 3 ports to get it to connect. Those to and 1 other that I can't think of off the top of my head. It was listed in the mobile tab though. -
Either way will work. There is more of a chance of something going wrong if you install over the old version which is why I personally like to uninstall and start fresh. Good luck.

Not using the software but you can use firefox in OSX. You just have to enable .jpg in the Webcam settings.

Thanks rory. Is there a way to make it so its just a small window and not take up the whole screen ? Hi, this program might do what you want. Not for 8.3 yet though. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=9762

The reason why #3 has a bad night picture is because there is no light. The IRs need some light for them to work properly. I bet if you put some kind of light near that area, youll get a picture like the rest of the cameras. The other cameras are picking up the street light or your neighbors house lights.
-
Just put a shortcut for Geovision in the STARTUP folder.
-
Thats a nice little program. It would be great if it had the abilty to auto change to all you cameras every few seconds.
-
How do you get it to scroll through all cameras ?
-
One of the options in the Geovision software that when enabled, disables the Mobile Tab. I don't remember off hand which option/setting it was. I do remeber reading it in the manual so you may want to read through the manual. Or you can set all of the settings back to default which would probably involve unintsalling / reinstalling. Good luck.

MN, Thanks for the information !!! Those are some very well written posts.

MN, What do YOU feel gives the best picture quality out of all the compression formats (h264,mpeg,mpeg-asp, etc.) if say you had to zoom in to get a good facial picture from a recorded video file ? Thanks.
-
You dont need that if you are using PDA Viewer (G-View). Is that what you are using ?
-
I can't believe that with the new software, the quality from GView is now terrible. Why is it everytime Geovision releases new software, they end up messing up something that was working fine. Things are suppose to get better with new software not worse. I ended up going back to 8.2.2.0 because of the lose of quality. FYI The old Gview will not work with the 8.3 software.

This is the email I just received when I requested the beta: Hi Kevin, We are about to release v8.3 in 2 weeks, so you may wait for the finally version as at this point we do not offer beta since the finally version is done.

ICRealtime – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
ilkevinli replied to DaveM's topic in Digital Video Recorders
kand, When are you going to address the fact that numerous calls that went to voicemails were never returned. Or how about the fact that there is video of your techs looking at the DVR and it clearly showing the issue he was complaining about ? Did you see the video ? How can they not see the issue ? Dave please make a complainant with the BBB so that you may save someone else who doesn't read this forum from doing business with this company !
