How are you experience whit the people that are gonna use your systems? Lot of you guys are installers/owners of a cctv company etc.. etc.. and i am really curious how you looking to the users of your systems. My experience I have seen a 90.000 Euro system used by really stupid (shop owner/security/reception etc..) employees. Not using any of the modern functions of the system. [/b]

I disagree! These cameras are being used outside of what they were designed for. Put them in the right environment, and I bet they would rock! I would not use a Geo Tracker to join a Monster Truck expo either!! Then again a $200,000 Monster Truck is over kill for a family picnic don't you think? ok, well great picture than. love to see that sharp quality pic's. Camera 1 is a nice picture, bit out of focus, but ok. My firs camera's gave a picture like that, i change that in to some bosh camera's. Now the quality is great!

I used to sell these things like hotcakes until they were made illegal! Darn it! They were a nice markup! I sold them to guys who thought that their wife placed a gps system on guys car to track him. I sold them to restaurant owners who wanted to maintain a "decorum" of tranquility. I sold them to the "crazys" who thought the "Goverment" was out to "get them". Aluminum foil hats sold well also! Some of the workers would buy them so that they could take a side exit, and the boss could not "see" the side trip. Some would eat lunch with a wife/girlfriend or they would meet them for other purposes if you know what I mean. There are those that buy them thinking that the cops were tailing them. I would ask them: Are you a drug dealer (knowing that they look more like a punk then anything else), and they would say no. I would ask did you commit a crime? They would say no. I said if you are in trouble with the law I have some other items that you may be interested in. They would say they are not in trouble with the law!! (???) They would say they saw the police drive up, and down their street. (Paranoid). One guy said that he was secretly dating a cops wife!! YIKES!! Excuse me I have to go now. I hear one of those "black" helicopters flying overhead. OK! They have whisper blades, but I can "feel" them out there! Which reminds me! I think a new X Files Movie is coming out!! They are out there! Yes, its all true. GSM and GPS jammers also kick ass you joke people whit. Nice gadget, illegal most of the world. Funny thing is i sold some to the dutch army.

In time the ccd will die

Ok, here you are! You can see all the nice collors, and all kind of shapes. You requested 4 cam pic's Sh*t, i see my sister is using one of the cams. Sorry about that.. Some time's you can have interference from other users that use the same software. I am sure the will fix this problem soon.

I have tested the software whit come 2.0 USB 1.3 MP camera's. The quality is shocking great! This is really working... and cheap. The software is rock stable. If there is interest i can upload a screen shot.

Yes, pleas take a look in my ebay store. You will find a laser pointer that kills camera's from a large distance. you will need a stable hand to pin point direct in the lens. A normal red laser will harm the ccd, but a high output laser will almost kill it direct. Can be a expensive joke Specially wen you are a installer and you have to replace 10 new camera's. a special lens is not enviable , and must be hand mate. Lasers can also kill photo camera ccd's, lot of club/disco party photograph have a problem whit expensive replacements of there ccd, be corse a laser from a laser show hits the ccd. (ps. i sell lasers, not to kill Cd's but for small laser shows) Please be advised that Jamming cell phones is a federal offense in the United States. Yes and i ship Free to the US and UK

Well i do dot concur 100% There are fake and bad ass pc cards on ebay some cost 14.99 some are 199 usd for the same card. A good pc card cost more. Why not a DVR recorder? you can hook it up to your pc and to backups to. Think gonna cost you 250 usd.

Thoughts on my first install... going the right direction?
cocacola replied to tazo's topic in System Design
First of all, I am a Mac user. I know that a platform that only has 10% market share only has 10% of the software and hardware options available. Nothing against the PC but I would like to stay single platform on my network. Second, while I have done some CCTV research related to my work projects (architect), this is my first install, and it is for my home. So I originally figured that I would get four IP cameras and plug them into my home network and record to my computer (Mac Mini 1.83 Ghz Intel Core Duo). I did some research and found SecuritySpy, (securityspy. com) which is a viewing/recording application. After doing a bit more research on this forum, I'm starting to think that it might be good to not tax my home computer. So instead of constantly processing four cameras, I'd get a DVR to do the dirty work and either use remote viewing (which requires a Java based DVR) or the DVR's client software or 3rd party software, as I understand it. So, just so I stay on the right track, does this sound like I'm going in the right direction or should I stay small and just use my computer as a DVR. I suppose I could start with the computer for now and upgrade to the DVR (or network DVR?) when necessary. Oh yeah, I was originally planning on using SecuritySpy's automatic FTP uploading feature to safeguard the images/video, but if I use a DVR then it could be located in the garage or someplace remote. Also, my rough budget is $1000-$1250 on cameras and extra on a DVR and related accessories. Thoughts? Pleas upgrade to a real computer, after that come back and leaf the toys @thome. -
Are you saying i have been doing this all wrong Scorpion be sure to stop by and visit.. Pardon my stupidity, (which tends to be 99% today) but I thought we weren't suppose to make any sales pitch on here http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=9805 Lol, 4 years ago i my little brother (17j.) sold this CSI software on eBay! Yes it is basically crap, he made a graphical equalizer, people were really happy whit it... you can tune up to dark images really nice, but not better than a monitor can I love to see this CSI scenes, in moves etc... a person far away, crappy vcr and than whit the "computer" in 2 seconds a great image! Clear this video up Scotty!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881152018 I've never tried them, but the claim of "Vandal Proof" is unbelievable. However, at $119.00 a pop for a Varifocal, 550 TVL, and 36 IR LEDs sounds like a pretty damn good deal. How will you power them? Do they come with a power supply? This looks like a single model that meets the MFG recommendation of 1 Amp per camera. Probably not adjustable, but good price. http://www.atrixlts.com/LT/Product_Detail.asp?ProductID=348 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881152020 exactly looks like mine camera, but mine what much cheaper! This camera his a not so nice picture in the daylight (no ir filter) but nice view @t night! The glas breaks easy! i bumpt by installing this camera softly whit the back of my screwdriver and broke the glass:-( The second camera was working @t night but in day it gave a whit screen, so internal not good calibrated. The 3e camera is working good but some punks broke the glass whit there finger well pressing on it. See the link: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=74625&highlight=#74625 Conclusion: This small vandal proof dome Sucks like a cheap little HO!

How can I optimize my 2.4GHz Link?

Here is a link to a antenna that will fit on your receiver (connector F and not sma) http://cgi.ebay.com/Receiver-Transmitter-Antenna-4db-for-camera_W0QQitemZ300163665807QQihZ020QQcategoryZ48637QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem -
How can I optimize my 2.4GHz Link?
cocacola replied to CCTV_Solutions's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
how can it possibly harm when the out put signal is lower than a directional antenna solution. Also it cost a lot to try diversity of antenna`s intill you got the right one's. My solution is anyway working, easy to install, cheaper, less output power, and smaller to! I work weekly whit 2.4 receivers, antenna's and boosters. I know a dens signal is really important for reception otherwise you can get distortion from 2.4 ghz devises. The booster is a really cheap solution, i do not know why a expensive experiment whit antenna`s should be the better sollution... (you know what connectors, coax, antenna's co$t!) -
don't eat it..
