DVR card and software for a perfectionist!
MattVidionics replied to MattVidionics's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hmmm, makes me think that I should just go out an buy another Anykeeper card with an updated firmware chip so I can get the software updates! I have just checked out digiflower by the way! How about those other budget DVRs that you mentioned? Matt -
anykeeper 2016 slow avi backup
MattVidionics replied to kentdrummer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The playback speed should play at the same speed as it was recorded (IE, "realtime" but xx frames per second). -
Does anyone know where there is a copy of a version 8 manual? I have downloaded two, but both looked like the previous version (old style GUI). I want to have a closer look at the new software! Matt
-
Version 8 will only work with certain cards ( http://www.geovision.com.tw/upload/en/software_download_upgrade.pdf ) Did anyone find that they could not use the new version? I am looking at buying a DVR card, but they say it cannot use version 8, so maybe they are selling me an old card? Matt

Anykeeper DVR Card 2116
MattVidionics replied to harbans's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
. http://www.koditec.com/eng/support-program.htm Koditec works with Anykeeper. Use 2.50.16.0 if the higher versions don't work with your card. anykeeper 2016 slow avi backup
MattVidionics replied to kentdrummer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Yep, I have that problem as well (using Koditec KD-Net 2.50.16.0). I have one "live" 25 FPS which is triggered from an input (PIR). On occasions, the AVI playback is half normal speed. I put it down to the speed of my home network (alot of network activity), but I could be wrong. Matt -
Sorry to drag up this old post.... The Avermedia DVR Cards will work great with that setup. Look into the NV5000 card. http://www.aver.com/2005home/product/dvr/window/nv5000/nv5000.shtml Here are the requirements for an AMD setup using this card: 1. CPU must support MMX or SSE2 (codec, NRF, de-interlacing algorithm), above AMD Athlon 900 CPU will have these features support.

I am now planning on getting rid of my Anykeeper card and buying a proper GV-800 (wow they're expensive!). My DVR PC is in my loft (attic/roof). so I will access the recordings/settings/live video from another PC over my home network. With the Anykeeper card, I could do all this, and the remote GUI is EXACTLY the same as on the server. The server Geovision GUI looks great (except the eyes!). What I want is, to access the DVR from a client PC on my network, "as if" I was looking at the server PC. Can I get the same GUI as the server on a client PC over my network? Can you get all the features that are on the server, on my client PC? I don't want to keep going up into the roof to access the PC (especially at night, as it disturbs the family!). I don't really like the idea of using a remote program like VNC either. Thanks for any information, Matt

What's the main difference between v7.x and v8. Seems quite a jump in numbers so I was expecting something major? Matt

Magic radar t-04 driver
MattVidionics replied to nikolai's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Try Koditec software, it works on Anykeeper cards. Anykeeper and Magic radar are the same cards. Only use version 12.50.16.0. I have an old Anykeeper firmware chip, any version higher shows "DVR card not found" at the end of the installation. http://www.koditec.com/eng/support-program.htm (Remember, only use 12.50.16.0!) -
PAL recording problem...anything moving 'tears'(photo incl.)
MattVidionics posted a topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Koditec 2.50.16.0 I am in a PAL (not NTSC) country. My DVR card records images perfectly, but anything moving blurs (the whole moving image appears 'jagged', like the image has been shaken). If I take a BMP of a frozen image with this problem and run the image through photoshop, I can apply a "de-interlace" filter which perfects the image. I am sure it is something to do with interlacing, but my DVR software does not have a "deinterlace" option. I remember other software had a "PAL-D" option for deinterlacing, but mine does not. Check out the images, the passing car and postman are both blurred! Anyone else have any problems like this, and how did you remedy it? Thanks for any info. Matt -
PAL recording problem...anything moving 'tears'(photo incl.)
MattVidionics replied to MattVidionics's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
This is not the latest, but due to an older firmware chip on the DVR card, any later version of software does not detect the DVR card. Thanks for your advice. I have downloaded the latest DirectX, although I think I already had it. My VGA card is a reasonable one, but maybe not quite up to the standard that you are mentioning. I thought that the VGA card is just there to support graphics on the local monitor. If I connect to the DVR using the remote software, the images from any location (on any PC) has the same result. Are you suggesting that the VGA card does some of the processing of the images coming from the PCI-DVR card? Matt -
Any opinions of Dedicated Micros, digital sprites?
MattVidionics replied to MattVidionics's topic in Digital Video Recorders
The thing is, these DM units are not exactly cheap. I think they cost around £3000-4000? (USD=$5000-7000). We generally install branded/high-end equipment. -

software update for 2116 board
MattVidionics replied to Vaughan's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
For my anykeeper card (2016), I use Kodicom software.... http://www.koditec.com/eng/support-program.htm Here is the page: D.V.R(Digital Video Recording System ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ◈KD-Net 3.3.3.0 Download ◈KD-Net 3.2.10.9 Download D.V.R(Digital Video Recording System ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ◈KD-Net 2.50.16.0 Download ◈KD-Net 2.50.15.0 Download You can't go wrong with the 20.50.16.0, but you can only use the 3.3.3.0 software if your DVR card is fairly new and has updated firmware, otherwise your card will not be detected. I find the kodicom software more reliable than the anykeeper. Seems to be a bit more up-to-date. -
wdt-2016 digital i/o pinout
MattVidionics replied to dualcomp's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I have a Anykeeper wdt-2016 card with input/outputs. With my system I have a seperate I/O board plugged into this port. The card which I have mounted on a board outside of the PC, has 8 relays and 16 opto-isolated inputs. I cannot help with the pinouts unfortunately, but its much easier with this additional circuit board. I would suggest contacting someone selling anykeeper/koditec boards and see if they can sell you an I/O card seperately. Matt -
Can anyone help me with an Anykeeper/Koditec AVI problem?
MattVidionics posted a topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi, Two weeks ago, I caught someone on my driveway CCTV camera opening up my car and stealing some equipment. Although I sent the AVI to police, the image was too dark. Since then I've installed 2x 8mm bullet cameras looking down both sides of the car. Last night he came again, and one of my cameras got an absolute cracking image of him! It's perfect! So I want to send this AVI to the police. PROBLEM: (Kodicom v2.15.60.0) I goto the SEARCH tab, select the camera, put the "timeline" at the start of the recording. I click SAVE, then AVI format. After about 5 seconds another window appears: "Saving AVI format, the CAMERA's IMAGE (which is already playing!) and START/STOP/EXIT" Problem is, during the 5 seconds delay the video is already playing and has passed OVER the incident! I can only start making the AVI file "after" the incident. It has always been like this, but since my cameras are on Motion Detection, and it happened just after midnight, I cannot start the recording any earlier, then run-into the incident! I have Koditec software v2.15.60.0 which came out last year I think. I cannot upgrade it due to old firmware on the board (later software does not detect the DVR board). Anyone else had this problem and overcome it? Any help will be gratefully received so I can send this AVI to police. I can still capture a BMP/JPG, but the AVI shows him in the act! Thanks, Matt (http://www.koditec.com/eng/support-program.htm) -

Still images are fine, but recording a AVI from the start is the problem. -
Can anyone help me with an Anykeeper/Koditec AVI problem?
MattVidionics replied to MattVidionics's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Thanks for your reply, but.... Remember that all my cameras are on MOTION DETECTION, so they are only recording when something in the picture is moving. On this incident, there is nothing before the incident, as it happened at 04:00am. To rewind to the previous activity is impossible, as it in the previous day. I cannot go to the previous day, because you can only display one day at a time (you cannot rewind past midnight to start the AVI file). Before I had no problem, because there was activity (recordings) behind the incident. This time I have no recordings behind the evidence I need to make the AVI. Matt -
anykeper 2016 2116
MattVidionics replied to grizzlyjet's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
So you have 2x 2016 anykeeper cards? (Are these the 16 channel cards?) You want to make 8 channels? If you have 2x 4-channel cards, then you can put them anywhere (PCI), but you must address: (card1) address switches must read "1" (card2) address switches must read "2" Both the cards have address switches which need to be set as above. Anykeeper 2016 card - 4 Remote IE, What S/W are required?
MattVidionics replied to sphyer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
************************ PC#2(Remote/Client) ------------------------- Open MS IE(WinXP Pro), type in http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (Host IP Adress). But I got nothing?? "This page cannot be displayed" - error. Then I goto SECURITY setup and enable ACTIVE-X, but same result. ************************ HMMMM...Sounds like a firewall problem to me. ************************ 2nd Solution on PC#2(Remote/Client) ------------------------------------------- Installed Anykeeper Network software on PC#2(Client/Remote). Type in Host IP Address & port 8013 - But I keeping getting Connecting to host, then host can not be found on STATUS (at the bottom). ************************ If you cannot PING both computers, then there is no point in trying to connect with Anykeeper software because there is no 2-way communication. ************************* This where I got to. From your replies on other threads too regarding Anykeeper card - you said additional "Remote Access" software is not required. So everything I need to get remote IE viewing to work is here, but I don't know what I have done wrong. ************************* The BEST way to see Anykeeper DVR cameras is load the Anykeeper software on the other pc (#2), and then use the REMOTE.EXE program. Using IE is really just a "webcamera" style of monitoring, but you only get a camera picture, or multiscreen (there is no playback or settings facility). I suppose this is useful to monitor the system over the internet because all you have to do is type in your IP address on the other computer and don't have to download any software. Sorry I've been so long in replying, maybe you have already solved your problem. Matt -
Using AnyKeeper over a LAN
MattVidionics replied to martinwinlow's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
oh yeah, I use VNC but it cannot be used to see video as this is not transmitted, hence the blue boxes! You must either use the viewer application which shows everything that appears on the DVR PC. Playback, setup, everything is here! Install the software but run the program called "REMOTE.EXE" and type in the IP address of the other pc (ping it first to check that the other pc is "seeable!" - read my other posts about this). or use internet explorer to view the camera, but this is the only thing it does! Post here if you require any other help. -
Using AnyKeeper over a LAN
MattVidionics replied to martinwinlow's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hmmmm! Seems to be a popular subject at the moment for anykeeper! I have replied twice to this tonight (although i must admit I haven't been here for a month or so). See the posts: "Anykeeper 2016 card - 4 Remote IE, What S/W are required?" and "kodicom webdvr" for my input about using internet explorer to view the cameras. Otherwise, download the Kodicom software(below) and install it on your remote pc, selecting to install just the viewer application. For my anykeeper card, I use Kodicom software.... http://www.koditec.com/eng/support-program.htm Here is the page: D.V.R(Digital Video Recording System ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ◈KD-Net 3.3.3.0 Download ◈KD-Net 3.2.10.9 Download D.V.R(Digital Video Recording System ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ◈KD-Net 2.50.16.0 Download ◈KD-Net 2.50.15.0 Download You can't go wrong with the 20.50.16.0, but you can only use the 3.3.3.0 software if your DVR card is fairly new and has updated firmware, otherwise your card will not be detected. I find the kodicom software more reliable than the anykeeper. Seems to be a bit more up-to-date. Good luck, Matt -
Can you ping both of the pc's? Example: DVR. Goto COMMAND PROMPT (START->ALL PROG->ACCES) type IPCONFIG then enter. The IP address is then shown, write it down. Goto your remote PC, Goto COMMAND PROMPT (START->ALL PROG->ACCES) type in: PING xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx being the IP address you wrote down in the previous step). If you get "request timed out" then you have a network/firewall problem and nothing will get the webDVR working. If you get "reply from xxx.xxx.xxetc" then your network is configured ok and should work. Also read this post... "Anykeeper 2016 card - 4 Remote IE, What S/W are required?" as I have replied here and is related. Good luck, Matt

Anykeeper 2016 card - 4 Remote IE, What S/W are required?
MattVidionics replied to sphyer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You don't need any software, IE will automatically download the ACTIVE-X application needed for displaying the cameras. Firstly, go into the setup. Select the user tab. To connect using IE, it uses the "anonymous" user. As default no cameras are available to this user. So click "modify" and make "visible channels" all available. Secondly, if you are connecting to the DVR over a network, just type the IP address of the remote pc into internet explorer: Example: http://192.168.0.1 (then return). (You may need to go into SECURITY within windows, to ALLOW ACTIVE-X if you are using windowsXP, because it will stop the application running). To get the IP address of the remote PC, start COMMAND PROMPT and type in IPCONFIG (then return) and the IP will be shown. (You must know a little about networking). I am not sure about ports. Good luck Matt
