There are a couple reasons for you have " No privilege " on the webcam. 1. Check your account status. In the GeoVision System, go to Configure icon >> Password Setup >> Local Account Edit. Please create a new UserID as supervisor and try it. 2. Recording by schedule. If you have setup a schedule for recording, check the following. Otherwise, skip this step. In the GeoVision System, go to Schedule icon >>Schedule Edit. Did you put a check mark right next to " view ". 3. Remote Authentication. Did you accidentally setup an remote authentication server? In the GeoVision System, go to Configure icon >> Password Setup >> Remote Authentication Setup. Did you see the following window? If you did, please let me know... 4. Reset passwords. In the GeoVision System, go to Configure icon >> Password Setup >> Local Account Edit. Check a box called " allow removing password system. Close the GV system. Go to C:\GV folder\ PassUnInstall.exe. Double click that and reset the password. Now enable the webcam server and try it. Any questions, let me know..... Sincerely, Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. Inc. +886-2-8797-8335 ext 287

Hello dcam, Yes, you can put external hard drive attached to Video Server. Yes, you can view playback via internet by using Remote Viewlog Application, which is included in 8.2 installation CD. By the way, GV IP cam can't attach external HDDs. Besides, GV IP camera must integrate with GeoVision main system in order to review the playback. Sincerely, Andy Chen, GeoVision Technical Support

Dear NigelB, Have you tried using other camera , other than CD9040D3P? To see if the same condition happening. In addition, if possible, try to upgrade the software to version 8.2. Inside version 8.2, a function called Noise tolerance. I would like you to do a test for me. Enable this function in version 8.2, to see if the cameras, in motion detection mode , still record while pulsating. Thank you. Dear Davhayr, Yes, GV1000 is discontinued... The latest GeoVision software you can used in GV1000 is version 7.05 with an USB dongle key...If you don't have an USB dongle key, then the latest version you can have in GV1000 is version 6.05. It is three in one combo card , 16 video/16 audio, real time display and TV OUT display...Recording rate at 480fps in total with CIF resolution...You can go for higher recording resolution such as 720*480; however, the total recording FPS will drop. When you went to configure icon >> system configure >> then uncheck an option called " Webcam Server ". You need to restart GeoVision software in order to apply the setting. Just simply uncheck " Webcam Server " under System Configuration Windows.. This would not work.. Next time when this happens... Double check your router....Network connection... Check any error messages generated... Thank you. Sincerely, ----------------------------------------- Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. Inc. +886-2-8797-8377 extension 287

Dear 3RD, Yes, James is right... There is another option. If your capture card is OK to use the latest GeoVision software version 8.2. Then you can consider something called GV I/O USB BOX. This device supports 16 inputs and 16 outoputs. In addition, it supports RS485 connection for PTZ cameras. You can simply attach this device to a DVR by using USB interface. Sincerely, ----------------------------------------- Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. Inc. +886-2-8797-8377 extension 287

Dear Djfes, You have 3 DVRs and 2 desktops at home for CV2. You would like to view all 48 channels within these two destop machines.. Actually you can simply use one PC desktop with a dual VGA outputs then you will be able to view all 48 channels.... Yes, brankorackovic is right about register a ***.dipmap.com for your CenterV2.... Why don't you just use one desktop PC for a CV2 then connect all the 48 channels.... this CV2 must support 2 VGA outputs for both of LCD monitors. In this way, you only need to register one DDNS for a CV2... Ooh yeah....FYI... Different screen resolution will support different division. For instance, in 1024*786 dual monitors, the max channel division in each monitors is 36. However, with 1280*1024, the max channel division in each monitor is 42.
