Dear BBNC, Please choose one of three specific USB wireless cards for Video Servers. 1. Edimax, EW-7318Ug, http://www.edimax.com.tw/ 2. D-Link, DWL-G122 rev.C1/USB (must be C1 version), http://www.dlink.com 3. Linksys, WUSB54GC, http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1134691790190&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper We strongly recommend the clients to use RJ 45 cable, instead of wireless network card, for stable internet connection speed..... What to look for in a Geo POS compatible register
andy_geovision replied to kao's topic in Geovision
Dear Kao, The easiest way to run the HyperTerminal Test. ** You will need a crossover RS232 cable and a laptop. < You will not need a POS data capture box. > ** Connect the laptop with POS machine by using a crossover RS232 cable. ** Follow procedure inside the attachment. Please confirm that you have correct COM ports and baud rate. ** The result of HyperTerminal test must be exactly the same as your printer receipt. If you didn't see any transaction showing up on the result of HyperTerminal test, most likely your POS machine is not compatible with GeoVision product or your POS machine is using Graphic mode. Always run the hyper terminal test before purchasing any GV Data Capture boxes... If the distance is a matter to you, Yes...ethernet version is a good choice... Yes, you can integrate the GV IP camera into GeoVision software. Yes, it is under " Add IP Camera section " But you have to use version 8.2.... By doing the integration with DVR, you can have use all the functions under the DVR and applied to GV IP cameras... by the way, there is no extra procedures you need to do... By doing the integration with GV NVR < pure software only, no capture cards >, you can have use all the functions under the GV NVR and applied to GV IP cameras... by the way, you need to purchase a USB dongle for GV NVR software. Any questions, please let me know.... Sincerely, Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. Inc. +886-2-8797-8377 ext 287

Dear Simo923, Starting with version 8.2, you can save each individual camera in different HDD.... however, before version 8.2 all the cameras will point back to a specific storage location. Sincerely, Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision. Inc. +886-2-8797-8377 ext 287

Dear Simo 923, Yes, we have 16 channels and 16 audios. You can consider something like GV 1480 cards. The audio and video can be worked separately or together. >> Now, the operators will be using seperate workstations to access all 64 channels. Using the CMS software (is this correct?) will they see each individual server and have to select it or will they just see all 64 channels seamlessly. If they use the E-Map will they have to have 1 for each server or can it group them overall. Yes, you will use something called CMS.. to view all 64 channels in one monitor. And yes, by using remote emap function access each DVR's map and view the cameras in live. Or you can group different DVRs' cameras into one map... Sincerely, Andy Chen Technical Support GeoVision.
