I recently acquired a ELEC 4 channel 960H dvr box. I have been searching for a firmware update to get newer features installed. I couldn't find any firmware at all. I also tried to contact with their support, they haven't responded to my email.
I decided to investigate further and opened the box. I think it is a rebranded XM "MBD6704T-E". I can login to box with telnet. I tried to use General_General_MBD6704T-E_V4.02.R11.20150105_NT.bin as a firmware. It failed to upgrade.
My version: v04.02.R11.06122090.10001
I assume ELEC changed the firmware number, so I can't use the generic firmware.
Is there any way to upgrade the firmware on this box? What can I do with this box?
