I have no clue, looking for an all in one. Can you recommend any?

So im recently changing over to IP from analog. What will i need i want to run 8 cameras. I know i have to run cat 5. The cameras are wired not wireless. All the nvr i look at have no rj45 contector just one for the lan. Whats exactly needed? Alll the help i greatly appreciated.

planned on getting escam, what do you recommend? looking to spend about 50-80 on each camera.

Does anyone know the coding to embed them? Thanks

I read a brief part of your problem. Just because the police said you could do it doesnt really matter. If there anything in the laws that state you can not record people without there knowledge, all you evidence could be thrown out. Also just because you have a camera in the open also doesnt matter either. Lawyer are far from stupid, they know what there doing why do you think they cost so much... Another thing don't file a civil suit until you find out if there going to prosecute him and ask for restitution. That is a lot easier then getting a civil judgement which are difficult to collect on. Also what plants would cost over 2k. To keep buying them after they kept getting stolen why would you keep buying them? Dont always think you have a slam dunk case. Its all up to the judge. After the first fedex box was thrown away or first plant was stolen why didnt you notify the police/fedex and so on. not to deliver them at your step. there are things you could have done to stop it. It like saying you house was broking into 3 times and you have video why didnt you notify the police the first incident. Looks like a set-up. Good luck with your case i doubt your'll get the ending your looking for. If he has money which it clearly seems he does, he will most likely end up winning.

Depends how many cameras do you want. If its for a ice cream shop i wouldget some digital sensormatic box type camera and a dvr probably cost about 700- with like 6 camera and a dvr. Used camera of course. I would never buy them from costco SAMS BJ there all crap and grainy.

did you try to use a different camera, could it possible be your cable?

I would not buy those they are CRAP!!! Even for 1k. Picture are grainy and bad. Google Them.. I would not recommended for anyone.

what kind of camera is it? Does it have IR? Ive seen some lower end camera do this.

ive been brokening into too. I have camera but why would you want them inside your house thats kinda of creepy. Why not just have camera outside covering the doors or windows? or an alarm system. It would be a lot cheaper and easier. Since they make wireless ones that will call you know.. Doesnt help getting a pic or the person but at leat you know and can call the cops...

nah there just beetles mosquitos and moths. There attracted to the light, also some insects are nocturnel. They only come out at night, alot of spiders come out too...

Has anyone tired them i just need basic camera for now. Quality?.. Night vision.

how much did you get it for?

I try to remote view from work dial up. to my dvr and i get the cannot connect. i open ports 81 3550 and so on. I can connect at my house with the local server after that i cant. Also the jpg viewer does work. Could it be my firewall thanks. If so how do i cahnge it.

i have xp at home can remote view fine but at work i have vista. I know i cant remote view with vista (IE7) i no it doesnt work with 7.0. But is there anyway i can with vista at work? I cant upgrade i need the usb dongle

I will do that.. I just hate buying camera that i have not seen the quality on yet. Cause like everyone else sometimes there good and sometimes there crappy and thats my buget jst for camera. I want to spend about 600.00 on the whole set up plus a plate camera which will be a lot. Thanks for the help and let me know if you have any pic from those camera.
