It was probably dust or pollen clumps or something of this sort, nothing unexplainable. There is always something in the air we just don't always see it or run into it. Kinda like when you were a kid running through the woods and you would run into spiderwebs and freak out. Haha... ohhh the good ole days. Thanks, John

Welcome Aboard! Just make sure if you have a question to post your question in one forum rather than multiples because it will cause confusion to the masses. Thanks, John

eyes, No need to double post. It may have been an accident since you are new here. Users here do read posts. Having the same issue posted in different areas may discourage folks from answering. We'll answer your questions with the original post. Hope my reply wasn't too negative. Not to harsh at all. I'm going to reply in other threads and I'm sure once Collin wakes up he'll jump on and close the other ones. Thanks, John

That's how most of the guys I talk to that order our heavy domes do it! Just get the plywood and run it from metal bar to bar, not just on the topside of the drop tile. That should take care of the problem with it dropping on someones head. Goodluck, John

Welcome Aboard Lisa! Which company are you with?

What type of router do you have? What type/model/brand dvr do you have? Avermedia? These are key questions still not answered even in the pm you sent me recently. This information would be of great assistance to us. Plus being rude like this will not get you far, if you were looking for an expert in networking then you would pay for an expert to setup the system for you. Thanks, John

I use teamviewer Collin and you should check it out low memory usage and all sorts of capabilities. Goodluck! Thanks, John

750' is what I've always heard also. If your runs are going to be 500' and under you should be fine. -

Smit9352 replied to kalpesh_nikumbh's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Or you could always make a shield that is hanging over it but that only resolves falling rain and not wind. Goodluck and let me know, Thanks, John -
LOL! Good job there!

I demo'd their units a while back actually. Also have a few NUUO units in my facility now testing and those things kick ass! Thanks, John

Our 1608 (120fps) and 1615 (480fps) are both on sale today and can do it quite easily if you would be interested in either of those. You can check our webpage and search for either of those model numbers for the price and misc. specs. Also if you need further information you can click on "technical support directory" and download the manuals. Thanks, John

Installs are a breeze if it's a drop ceiling and you're just slinging cable across the tiles. As far as hooking it up on the network externally what router are you using? If you want gimme a call at our office and I'll talk to you concerning the issue if you cannot get it up and working dude. Thanks, John

if you cannot get access the password work around for that unit is. Press the menu key and when it ask you for a password press.... Search - Play - Play - Stop - Stop - Search. If that works (should) I know that dvr inside and out.

It's the 210z4, great camera in my opinion! Especially with the auto-focus, and other capabilities. Below is a picture of how I made the connection on the rear of mine. Goodluck!

That's the same manufacturer as the one you have. Heck I probably could use the firmware I have on that one to update it if it came down to it being as there so close. Could you take me a picture of the menu actually? Am I wrong in that being a Tomtech unit, I'm fairly sure I'm correct as we've been dealing with them for years. It looks just like our unit and last I spoken to our regional US manager they stated that was theirs also. Thanks, John

Haha this is true! If it don't say it on the actual documentation they receive then don't expect them to know it. Thanks, John -

That's all we carry.... what the hell? If you use cheap cable your going to have to go back to the location, does anyone like making free service calls? I know I don't.... then again I barely like getting up for work. GL, John -
n00b: can't get *one* line to work
Smit9352 replied to Viperoni's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Are you sure he's using a Aluminum cored cable? If so then yep, I definitely agree swap to a copper core rg59 and you should be good to go after that I would think. Also for that short of a run, why use RG6? Thanks, -
The sound you hear are you sure you're not thinking of the whirring from the built in fan that circulates air? Thanks, John
