  1. Thank you for the help. I will test it today.
  2. Hi kingwood, Don't have much to say about that why don't you take some time reading some interesting articles of analog vs Ip from some companies and IT experts ... Remember, it's not me that saying that just google it. Unfortunately I can not post any links because of spam... would have undreds for you. "- Resolution. Analog cameras cannot provide resolution above television standards, which corresponds to 0.4 mega-pixels at 4CIF. Many analog systems run at a much lower resolution due to technical and cost restrictions, operating at 0.01 mega pixels. Network Video technology can provide a resolution up to 15 times the quality of analog video. The latest cameras now can process video up to 3Mbitp/s." " Digital images do not lose quality in transmission or storage. A digital picture is created using Motion-JPEG. Once created, the image is free from degradation. Each frame within a video stream is sharp. "Analog Image quality is lost when using long cables and the resolution of a magnetic tape is normally quite low. In addition, the quality of the recorded video deteriorates over time." But I'm curious about what all the other members have to say about this???
  3. Hi, Didn't received the PM... Was trying to send you one but I think I need one or 2 more posts "Sorry, but the administrator has prevented you from sending private messages, or you have under 10 posts." Can you send it to my email? alves@visir.is Thx
  4. Glad to see you around. I live in Iceland, and I'm not a dealer (I think the dvr card was bought in Denmark and came with soft). The owner doesn't know how it happened, if he forgot the pass or if it was is older kid that changed it . Anyhow he can't access it with admin rights. I was asked to uninstall, which i did... but it keeps the settings after reinstall. I'm guessing it leaves a file or makes windows registry changes, could actually see it if I use a installation monitoring tool. But since it's an old computer I don't want to fiddle to much with it or have to install XP again without any hardware drivers. Have you ever came across with this problem?
  5. High end Ip system would emply Mp cameras.
  6. Some while ago I read a post about magic radar, and there was a member that was offering to answer everything about this product. Is he still around?
  7. Hi, well if it's high end you need and image quality, I would go for an Ip based system.
  8. I would go for a Dell poweredge, blade system. Quad core xeon, 4 gb of ram and external powervault for the hard drives. or, 2 smaller servers dual core, 2gb of ram both handling 32 video and audio, both connected to an powervault.
