DVR Card Recommendation
Kingwood replied to fran4383's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Mr. Crirvine, you are right,8 years or 20 years ago, your viewpoint is very correctly, but now,it's not very correctly. Let's talk about technical, don't talk about "The CCTV equipment from Korea" is the best,"From China" is very bad. In fact,we have a lot of cooperate with Korea too. Part of Korea products is good, such as Camera, but as usually, the cameras from Japan is better(I dislike Japanese products for other reason, but their quality is good). So what you say:"The best CCTV equipment from Korea",we just pass it now, just a joke. -
H264 hikavision card / ildvr
Kingwood replied to bigbrother's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
If the message is no license, please contact with your supplier for the license file. Every cards need a license file. ILDVR is the software provider,DS-4008hci manufacture by another hardware company. I think you supplier can resolve your problem. -
If the PTZ dome can controlled by Special Keyboard,I think it's not a good dome,in normal, all PTZ dome must support standard Pelco_P and Pelco_D protocol.

DVR Card Recommendation
Kingwood replied to fran4383's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi crirvine, Thank you for your reply. I didnot read the item about "ONLY RETAIL PRICES ARE ALLOWED TO BE POSTED in the forum.",I read fran4383 post the price,so I provide some price for reference.I'll not post Price On future. Our EQUIPMENT is original, not the CLONED. What you say:"As for the best equipment it is built in Korea Camera's and Recorders.",Is that true?Do you come from Korea? I think only there are the better, ther are no the best. I come from China. As I know,a lot of company important Security equipment from China or Taiwan. And parts of the products have very good performance too. I will not list the manufacture name of them, but I think most of us know that. -

Software/Hardware compression cards - difference?
Kingwood replied to robert's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Rory is right. For hardware compression card, the DVR cards have processor(DSP),it can compression video and audio by themself. For software compression card, the CPU and RAM of PC will deal with the video and audio compression. So you need a powerful PC if you use a software compression cards. -
DVR Card Recommendation
Kingwood replied to fran4383's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
$4500 for a 16 channel 120fps box? It's really very expensive. I suggest you buy the Standalone DVR from China,it will be about $xxxx for a 16channels 480fps H.264 CIF box. such as HK-S1016F. For the full D1 picture, 4CIF 704x576/704x480 400/480 fps ,H.264,it's about 2500USD,such as DS-8016HFI-S. You can get it easy from China. For the manufacture, you can google it from website,I cannot post link yet. -
I think you'd better to use C++. I'm a VB programmer before,in order to build a effective DVR system,I study the C++ and use VC 5 years ago. If you need more sample,I think codeguru is a good choice.

PTZ and DVR which one is not working?.......
Kingwood replied to ronbo's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
My suggestion is: 1) Please make sure your COM port is right 2) Please make sure RS485+ and RS485- is right 3) please make sure Protocol is right 4) please make sure baud rate is right if all of above is right ,please check is the led flash when you control the PTZ. If the led of PTZ is flash, then 5) make sure the address ID of PTZ is correctly. By the way, some PTZ have no LED,so you cannot confirm it by the flash LED,As I know, a lot of PTZ such HK-GV8271 have flash LED. If you tried all the protocol and baud rate, but all of them can not driver, perhaps the protocol is not standard, perhaps you need change a PTZ or a DVR. -

Kingwood replied to simo923's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Haha, Rory, better computer will have better performance,it's true, but we use the P4 CPU and 1G ram to make sure the system work for a long time, and the system work for several countries,it's reun well yet. When play back,it will need more CUP and RAM. Perhaps we will use better Computer infuture. -
Best DVR solution for 31 Camera setup
Kingwood replied to mpr86's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi, well if it's high end you need and image quality, I would go for an Ip based system. In normal,IP Cameras Based system have worse quality, and the picture is not very good. -

64 Cameras and 64 Audio Independantly
Kingwood replied to simo923's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Waiting for your experience of your system.Geovision card can not see all 64channels in one PC. For standalone DVR,most of them have CMS software,I think they can suit for your requirement too. -
64 Cameras and 64 Audio Independantly
Kingwood replied to simo923's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hello Simo, For the first problem,I think you cannot hear the other microphone when you record the first camera. As you see, video and audio data record in same file. Of couse, you can mute it. For the configuration of PC for 64channels,According to my experience,I think PIV 2.8G and 1G memory is enought, the mainboard must be Intel chipset. Because it's hardware compresion, will spend very lower CPU and memory when record the video. In order to have backup function,I think you can use two PC machine, but if you want to save all video and make sure will not lost,I think 2sets 64channels is OK. One camera can output the video to two PC. Hope above is clear. -
Dear Rory, thank you for your reply. I've upgrade to V8.1 too,the problem is there yet. The OS is Windows XP. Dear yoyob, I've tried for this way,it can not fix the problem.

Best DVR solution for 31 Camera setup
Kingwood replied to mpr86's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Dear Sir/Madm, If you need 960fps realtime,HK-DS4008HFI is OK,which is 4chs,D1, Reatime.30fps. So you need 4pcs to build one system. You can search the products via google. -
I think you can use two DVRs(16+,then you can use the CMS software to monitor all the cameras in same time.A lot of Standalone DVR come with CMS software.

DVR s with operating system embedded on chip
Kingwood replied to jeromephone's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I think the DVR run on DOM will be the next generation PC Based DVR too. They are some related products in China with good price. On the other hand, some LINUX DVR card have simular function, but you need install the OS and driver on one PC DVR. -
64 Cameras and 64 Audio Independantly
Kingwood replied to simo923's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I think you can monitor and record 64 chs video and audio easy. But if you want to play the video and audio in one PC at same time,it's impossible at moment. As you see, video decode will spend a lot of resource, such as CPU,memory etc. In order to obtain 64chs video and audio realtime record,I think HK-DS4016HCI is a good choice, which come from China, you can search it from google.
