Looking for a needle in a haystack Looking for a stand alone DVR (the smaller the better) to use with covert camera investigations. I would like to be able to pull the DVR and review in my office or quickly swap out a hard drive, take to the office,then install in a second DVR of the same kind. At times, I will leave a recorder for 5-7 days before reviewing. The unit will not be viewed internet or a network. Would like to be able to back up to a USB drive or HDD for viewing by Human Resources, administrators, or police, etc. Motion activation would help reduce time spent reviewing video. Any recommendations as to make, model and gigabites, etc.? Price range can be anywhere up to about $1,500 a piece.
