..or is the phone app the regular/main way to check the live footage. I need to get a CCTV system (cameras, base station, Dvr) and need a few recommendations. Do I need a dedicated computer that's always on while the DVR is recording? Right now I have an Arlo 5 camera setup but it only turns on when the motion detection is triggered and then records a clip. It costed $600. I was hoping to get a CCTV setup that hopefully has an app with motion detection also in the similar price range. What does a complete CCTV system consist of?Thanks in advance for any help
