I have a customer that bought this pc based dvr- running vista- on 512mb memory- was having problems recording and freezing. upgraded the memory to two gigs and it works better except that the picures on the screen have dissapeared- they are blank- if I go to search, it is recording fine- it just wont display- thats problem 1- 2 is that I added a 1 tb hardrive to be able to record more days- but the software does not have the option to set it recording on this new drive... anyone familiar with this?

I have a Vitek DVR already set for web browser remote and local access- one laptop pc running IE7 can connect to it- i cannot see the cameras when i connect to from blackberry running ver 5.0 and laptop running IE8 and a mac laptop. any ideas on what i need to tweak ? Thanks !

I have a 12v IR camera about 150 distance from the dvr- it is outdoors and at times the image is completely white like a white page- sometimes with traces of images but all white, this happens once a day- sometimes goes back to normal- sometimes it does until next day- what could this be? please advise,

I am getting these error messages when the system starts and I get no image- and cannot see it the image when I remote: SecurityBlackBox: WAVEIN:2:A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system any ideas out there?

what about the new hard drive? I dont see any option to added as a recording drive, or will it just start filling up when the other one is full?

where the cameras go it displays gray windows- all else is fine-

the image looks gray- the memory is not mismatched- two slots with 1gb each of the same brand- works with the old memory-but freeses hard drive has been installed and is on line- thanks,

The sun points directly to it in the morning- but it does this at different times- I dont know if its a chinesee camera, it was not cheap- bought from an Ohio cctv store....

I have a camera that is freezing- and it is freezing a PTZ- if I disconnect the camera the ptz works fine- what could this be? also it is the port below the Ptz- if I move it from the port to another port, it will freese the one above- is it the port or the camera? thanks,

thanks for your response, I will check the power, but I dont think I explained myself correctly- DVR is PC based- with a kodicom card- eight ports, the top four are PTZ cameras- the freezing camera is not a PTZ it is a regular camera and is on port 6 directly below the PTZ on port 2- the camera on port 6 freezes and also the ptz on port 2- if I disconnect the camera on port 6, then ptz is fine-if I disconnect camera on port 6 and connect it on port 8 - camera freezes and PTZ on above port (4)- weird !! thanks,

I just upgraded from a 16 port to a two 8 card kodicom cards and it is freezing at load main module- if it does not freeze it reboots. any ideas out there? thanks

And yes you can use two cards- 8 channels each- to make each camera 30 frames- works good and I bought the cards here in Miami Florida. thank you....
