I was looking to replace my basic Avtech 760 with an 8 channel 'Digiguard' DVR. Does anyone have any experience of these mpeg4 machines? They seem to be the best ones to get on ebay in the UK. Thanks

I'm not sure that the 'mail from' field is important to be honest. However, the 'Verify Password' section is, so make sure you fill that part in. I don't think you've missed anything else. Your username in your case (for Irishbroadband) is your full e-mail address btw.

Hi, The chances are.. you are having the same problem as I had. I tried using my smtp server which in my case is... mail.btinternet.com. However, this didn't work so instead of using that, I 'resolved' 'mail.btinternet.com' to '217.146.188.192' instead. I then put this in the 'server' fill-in box. Try googling your required IP address by entering your smtp server and then the words 'DNS resolve'. You will likely find it easy enough. Mine works fine now.

Ahhh... Ok. I just wish the e-mail pictures could be bigger. Maybe there is a setting somewhere to do this?

Thanks Daryl, it's now working at last! The instructions are useless. I was using my normal smtp outgoing server. However, replacing it with the DNS server for BT has now solved everything.

Hi, I have 2 questions about my newly acquired AV 760. 1. The box to enter my FTP username is too small for me to enter the whole name. ie my username appears to have too many characters for it. What can I do? 2. I've entered the correct info into the email server settings etc and also set it to 'event record' but nothing! What am I missing here? Thanks.
