Newbie to CCTV here so be gentle....
I have tried to search for this info but to no avail. I am going to build a new low power PC and would like it to support several functions. My target Geovision card is the GV800 but alternative recommendations are welcome.
Questions I have:
How much power does the GV 800 require?
Does Geovision SW play well with other programs like a Fax server and music server?
Will 2 Gb of memory be sufficient for up to 6 cameras?
What are the CPU requirements or recommendations? Will a dual core AMD 2.3 Ghz CPU be sufficient? If anyone can tell me what their CPU type and utilization is for a given number of cameras with and without motion present/detection, I may be able to extrapolate and get some idea if my planned configuration will work.
