i'm using passive balun from china. i didn't use any tool. i just connect the camera to a pair and check the video to check if it is good. what tool are you using? even at short run it seems that the pair of blue and brown has a problem. i don't know if this was caused by the cable. have you experienced this? have you tried using up all the 4 pairs?

yes. we installed 16 cameras . so i just run four cat5E and just tap the camera along the way. we noticed that only the pair of green and orange only showed good picture quality while the remaining pair give poor quality and distorted picture. the length of the wire is around 100m to 120m.

you mean you can connect to the dvr from one computer using dyndns address ? and the other computer can't connect using the same setup? are both computer on different network from the dvr? did you check if you have internet connection on the dvr where you can't connect?

so axis only provide ip camera. i have seen from the commercial on this site there is nuuo nvr. has anyone tried it? -

does axis have an nvr? or just us a nvr software and install it on a pc. we are planning to bid for this project. needs to gather some information regarding ip camera. they prefer to use axis. can you recommend other high end ip camera? -

putting a grounding wire on the casing of the dvr will prevent surge ? or do i need individual surge protector for each channel? -

so there is no way turning the start up buzzer off and the only way is to modify it physically. what happens when it is powered on and off most of the time? -

i got an ftp error message when i tried to reply and attach a photo on a topic here at the forum. what is the problem?

No voltdrops At 15 meters. At 40 meters i have to put 15 volt in to get 12.5 out. Whit 1 Amp what is you input voltage 12V or 13.8?

what brand of router are you using? check the setup of your router and look for DDNS as said by sir collinR. register on www.dyndns.com and create a host name. then input the information on the DDNS fields.

i think direct bnc connection is better. pigtail wire might become loose.
