what email are you using? can you use the email using microsoft outlook? you need to put the username and password of your email on the fields provided. and put the smtp server. if there is no authentication required you need to uncheck the checkbox.

have you tried allowing the port on the firewall to pass through?

may be you don't have the codec to play avi files. -
may be sir you can use wireless fm transmitter. just connect the output to this device. and tune your radio to it. then you can hear the audio on your car radio. http://www.radioshack.com/sm-buy-the-wireless-fm-transmitter-on-http-wwwradioshackcom--pi-2102699.html

24v A/C supply problem
si_kungs replied to Bam_Bam_of_Atlanta's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
it depends on the input voltage on the primary side of the transformer. the secondary output is just a ratio of the primary input. so the output is dependent on the input on primary side. unlike in DC where there is a regulator to maintain the voltage. -
for the frequency it should be 60Hz in the US. my mistake I mean the Voltage from the power outlet supplied by electric company is AC (alternating current) the voltage output is a little bit higher. since the equipment has +-10 % voltage tolerance, I think it will do no harm. also when engine is turned off, power comes from the battery. but when the engine is turned on, the power comes from the alternator of the car. sorry to confuse you

how long can we run the power in the cat5e before it falls below the operating voltage?
-
sir scorpion. Battery has a DC (direct current) output meaning it has a polarity. red terminal is the positive and black terminal is negative. it is like the power for the cameras. power to the houses are AC (Alternating current) they don't have polarity. that is why you don't need to bother pluging in your appliances at home to check if the terminal is connected in the correct position of positive and negative. AC power is sinusoidal meaning the polarity in the wires switch from time to time. for US it is 50Hz and that means 50 cycles per second. it is like power for DVR, computer, and appliances. generator produce AC so your appliance can run if it is rated 110V AC. UPS has an inverter inside that converts DC to AC. so 12 V DC battery power will be converted in to 110 AC also car dash board are 12V DC.

ups is a device that has a bettery and an inverter. inverter converts battery power (direct currect DC) to AC (alternating current 220 or 110 but low cost iveter only produces rectangular wave. true sine wave inverter are not cheap. here is an photo of the waves. [/img]

i mean you rectangular wave ups can destroy the equipment?

two camera will be mounted on one side of the equipment and the monitor will be on the moving cabin above. what cables do i need to use? is using a single coax for power and cable advisable( using capacitor to block AC signal for camera and use inductor to block DC signal from power supply?
-
since there are many rubber tire gantry in the area. all of them will carry an ap and laptop. will there be an issue regarding the frequency? sir the cabin is may be around 7 storeys high. if the container yard is full, the height of the container will be 5 stack pile and width is i think around 6 containers . will it block the signal from the ap above when the cabin shifts to the other side? also can the wifi laptop connect ad-hoc to wireless ip camera? haven't tried this yet thanks for the advise. need to be very careful when installing in high places

ok. is solder type BNC ok ? or Crimp type is still the better type
-
yes there are high voltage wires. can an ordinary outdoor camera withstand the near sea environment?
-
ok. so there are special BNC for stranded. how about RG6 stranded? for combining the power and signal in one cable is not advisable? what are the pros and cons?
-
before we used the catenary cable of the equipment and the result is snowy and video been disrupted. may be it is due to the high power lines with the catenary cable. the camera will be mounted only on one side of the equipment, so the operator can see the other side. also can this setup work?
-
2. A & B. sir is auto iris ok for this application? can you provide a specification of the camera that you will be using for this application. also what resolution do we need? what is the fps needed to be set ? 3. is it ok to run a pair of power and connect the camera's power to the wire if it is on the same path of the other camera? or dedicated power for individual camera is better. 4.since low cost ups only produce rectangular wave, is this ok for our cctv system?
-
ok thanks. what do you think sir about using stranded? because when using utp picture becomes snowy and picture sometimes gets disrupted. may be the wire has loosen because of the moving cabin.
-
what is IMHO? I plan to use it on a moving cabin on an RTG ( rubber tire Gantry) . solid wire may not be flexible enough and might loosen up after a period. what do you think? this is the link to the topic i posted yesterday http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=12743
