RG58, RG59, RG6, RG11,.. how to recognise?
si_kungs replied to Kurt's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
need to use 75 ohms to achieve maximum power transfer and to minimize transmission loss since the equipment ( camera and dvr ) are all 75 ohms . -
-
have tested it before on 1 roll (305m ) of cat5e. tried to use 1 pair and connect it to the remaining pair on the bundle of wire to make it double, triple its length. but when we test the color picture carrier was attenuated and picture become black and white

I need to extend their recording retention. so i need to know how low am i going to set the fps. because right now it is set to 15fps already. How many cameras, and what kind of cameras? 16 cameras. 420TVL bullet type and box type What kind of DVR? 16CH H.264 DVR. SVDVR is the brand ( not familiar with the brand, dvr came from china) Are you talking about entry points (doors, and windows)? some are on entry point, receiving area and most cameras are focused on storage area Are you watching job performance issues? it will be used to monitor cargo to prevent it from being stolen and misplaced. so they can track the person responsible Is there a cash counting office? there is none. since it is a central warehouse . What are they "afraid" of most that they require video surveillance? to see who is responsible for the missing items.

ok. also for color camera can it degrade the color if the cat5e run to long? how long can we run cat5E using the ff setup: 1. passive balun tx >>>>> passive balun rx 2. passive balun tx >>>>> active balun rx 3. active balun tx >>>>>> passive balun rx 4. active balun tx >>>>>> active balun tx tx - transmit rx - receive thanks

ok. so it will be based on how long the retention of the video will be. what settings do we need to set on the fps for a courier service warehouse? can 7 fps do the job?
-
FPS recording qualty is better than CIF. but occupies more space. sir scorpion what do you use CIF of FPS? also changing this options can affect the internet transmission format?

try to change the record image size from "CIF" to "FPS". CIF: (common image format) 352x288 HD1: (2CIF) 720x288 D1: (4CIF) 720x480 i'm not sure which one will be the resolution after changing it but i know it will be a lot better. refer to the post of sir scorpion regarding the levels of record quality

camera black screen after brownout
si_kungs replied to si_kungs's topic in General Digital Discussion
it is a distributed power supply. just turn off the power supply and it will be up an running again. it shows black screen after the brownout. don't need to turn off the dvr. so it is also possible that the camera board did not reset? -
after a brownout my some of my cameras becomes black screen. resetting the power supply turns them back on. how can i prevent this? what is causing this?
