the covert mode for this channel is not active. i have tried activating it and it shows blue screen which is ok. but when i deactivated it shows the COV like in the photo. have tried powering off the dvr. no effect i need to get to my client to do hard reset. i will post here what happens next thanks

I have a client who has a new house. the only option is to use wireless ip camera because the new house has no provisions for cabling. i need some information regarding ip cameras. how far the signal will go? is it secured? how many wireless camera can the wifi router handle and still give good video ?

first you should set your dvr to static ip. then for the DDNS thing please set it up on your router and not on the DVR. if your port forwarding is correct then i think you can see it from the internet. also check the gateway setting and port setting on the dvr.

for gauge #18 wire, how long should be the minimum run? I'm not familiar with the resistance of the wire.

so for the frequency i think we would use 2.4GHz since the wifi router are on this frequency. i saw router with three antenna , will this improve the range and speed? how many cameras can you simultaneously connect without choking the router? thanks, Stephen
