This is the type of line that you will have to sell to major integrators and for govt type jobs where price is secondary. Definitely an odd request but try running a 24vac transformer into the shield and center conductor of the coax and then see if your ground isolation device will strip it out.

Look for a B/W camera with about 570 lines resolution and a low light ability. Toshiba and GE are good ones to try out. We had a thread going in this section on lowlight cameras so you might want to look it up and see some of the links. I think the header was IR Sensitive Cameras or something like that.

This is fairly typical of cameras with lower end automatic light control systems. See if the camera has a way to turn off the ALC since it is picking up the 60 hz fluctuations of the lamps and is trying to respond to it. Some of the better systems actually slow down the response time to changing light so it will ignore this. Do you have information on the brand and model number of the camera or is it one of those no name low end cameras?

This is the only one I've found other than the small internal forums like the one on the Dedicated Micro site. Without doubt the quality of the information found on this forum far outclasses anything I've ever seen. Levon, is it official now that Kelly Carlberg is no longer the Bosch rep for SoCal? Big changes with Panasonic dropping their local rep, and Bosch dropping theirs. I wonder if this is the trend on big companies.

Any suggestions on a low cost (that means no Extreme CCTV) b/w camera that would have good spectral response in the 850N range? Has to have proven spectral response for IR. Thanks.

Has anyone a list of embedded DVRs that can handle dynamic IP? In particular does Kalatel have that feature? Getting more requests for DVRs that can handle dynamic IP and they would like them to be embedded and not PC based like the Geovision, etc.

The Ganz is a dual voltage camera so you can use either power supply. Sounds like you might have a cable problem. Have you tried hooking up the camera using a different cable?

Thanks for the link but I checked the Sanyo site earlier for that model since I remember it being IR sensitive and there was no mention of it on the Sanyo site. I wonder if it has been discontinued.

The lens itself would not be a day/night and the camera is also not a day/night camera. You might need to adjust the lens and also make sure your camera is set properly. Since this is an autoiris lens make sure the camera's automatic light control is set to off. Then make sure the DC/Vid switch is set to DC. There will also be a small adjustment pot to vary the lens opening so try adjusting that. Both products are good quality brands so it is most likely an adjustment problem and not defective equipment.
