    Hey folks, I stumbled on to this place recently, and have since appreciated many of your posts. I am looking at installing a new surveillance system in my building, and I am would like to know what the best DVR to get is. Who makes the best DVRs? I am particularly interested in one with good searching features. Cheers.

    Thanks for all the replies. I just checked out Kodicom there. They seem to have 3 searches: Inteli-search, Index-search and Object-search. I understood what the first two did, but not the last one. What exactly is the Object-search they are talking about? Cheers.

    If I were getting software to manage/run my surveillance data/system. Which would be the best? Or is this an unanswerable question? I am looking for a system that offers the best searching capabilities of CCTV footage. Cheers.
