  1. Hey guys, I am in dire need of some recommendations for an unusual setup. I just purchased a 2 two apartment brownstone that has its entryway through a very narrow side corridor which has a small garden and is open. The first door connects the street to the aforementioned corridor and the second door connects the corridor to a small reception area that has the entrance for apartment 1 at the lower level and a staircase to apartment 2. I plan to live in apartment 2 and rent out apartment 1. I have been doing some research and I am looking at Dahua's VTO3211D-P1/P2 for the door at the street level and another VTO3211D-P1/P2 for the second door to the reception area at the lower level, its a must for the second door to stay locked but I would like to open it somehow from the indoor monitor. I am also leaning towards Hikvision's DS-2CD2386G2-I(U) to cover the entryway. I have choosen Dahua's VTH5321GB(W)-W as monitors for each apartment. I am thinking a setup with two video intercoms might be an overkill, but I don't see any other way in which I could open door 1, monitor who comes into the corridor and then open door 2 from the Indoor Monitor. Any ideas? Ideally I would like to just purchase one video intercom, monitor the traffic in the corridor with the camera and then open door 2 from the Indoor Monitor, saving the cost and all the redundancy of a second intercom. I would really appreciate any input you guys might have. Thanks a million!
