I’ve run into a frustrating scenario with my Lorex system and hoping someone may have some insight to share...
I have a Lorex LNR632 and a handful of Lorex brand cameras, LKB and LNB models. After a firmware upgrade to v160 (thought to be the cause, but not certain), the LKB cameras no longer work through a PoE switch. The LNB cameras do continue to work.
The issue: when connecting multiple LKB cameras to the device via a switch, the cameras “merge” into a single stream after adding them. Let me unpack that - say I add four cameras, with IPs of 192.168.1.100, x.101, x.102, and x.103, upon adding the cameras to the device, all four channels will eventually be set to the same IP and show the same image from that one camera. But every 10 seconds or so, the IP of all four channels will rotate to another camera’s IP and will show the image of that camera. The LNR632 fails to maintain one distinct IP for each channel.
I spent hours on the phone yesterday with Lorex only to be told LKB cams are not compatible with the LNR632 and that I must use LNB cams. This is odd, as these cams worked fine prior to firmware v160. I should note that the LKB cameras, when connected to the switch, show up as a generic IP cam using the Onvif protocol over port 80 rather than their standard port of 35000.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on ways to resolve this issue?
