1qwerasdf started following KT&C Pinhole camera for very low light?, IR Illumination, Decent IR illuminator for 15x12 foot area? and and 1 other
-
What about the Lorex VQ-2121?
-
What about the KTL ILL1000?
-
Some good sites please to get ir illuminators and cameras. Is there something like the ECL-IR30 without the glow?
-
The ECL-IR30 would be perfect if it didn't give off a red glow. Is it the diodes themselves that give off the glow, or is it a little red light that might be covered with a piece of cardboard? What do you think of Clover?

Decent IR illuminator for 15x12 foot area?

where do you buy the eclipse brand? -
I attached a drawing of the situation. The IR is shining on the ceiling. Will it bounce to the target area?
-
Looking for something that would give ambient light equal to a 4 watt night light in a dark room.
-
Is IR light strictly directional, or does it bleed all around a room like a flashlight would?

I'm sorry but you're mistaken. The indoor place where I want to monitor, if anyone enters that space than they are knowingly in violation. It is not illegal to place covert surveillance in your house or any other place that belongs to you. Are you saying that the above mentioned camera will be able to capture That’s what I am planning for the pinhole. Another camera that has a bigger lens would be discernable.

The subject is my property which I suspect is being trespassed. The trespassers are not exactly trespassers, meaning that they’re authorized to be on the premises but not in a certain area. I would like to confirm my suspicions without alerting the culprits who may not trespass if they know they’re being watched and so must be discreet.

Do the diodes have to be connected to the camera? --- The camera needs to be discreet, because there are times that the place is lit. Are there ANY pinholes that work in low light? If not, are there other options that are discreet and work in low light?

Scorpian: I really appreciate your helpfulness. Very informative. Do you think you could take a look at my other post regarding a pinhole camera question? It's in the camera section. I would really like to buy it already but I’m not sure what to do. Are there any alternatives to pinhole cameras that are discrete? (I tried to PM you a link but I was told that I have to be a member for at least 10 days, they won't even let me post a link here. sorry.)

What do you mean? They don’t’ last more than a few months? In what way is it different than I more expensive one? All I’m going to do is plug the camera into the DVR. That specific DVR is not networkable, it has a usb connections and proprietary software for pc viewing. I need to know how noisy these things are. Are DVR’s noisy?

so LUX 00.2 doesn't mean anything? Do the diodes have to be connected to the camera?
